you don't need SDI disks for EWF unless you can't partition your drive (like removable CF disks). Just partition your drive (30GB and 220GB partitions) and configure EWF to protect the 30GB partition. What exactly happens after you unmount the larger partition and try to hibernate? Nothing at all, lock up, BSOD?

Guys, is there a way of clearing the memory used to track the changes (overlay)? I use Adobe Flash for my interface (don't ask), and it tends to create a lot of files, especially when playing videos etc, filling up memory really fast. I don't want to reboot the machine just to play another video, so I am hoping there is either a way of telling Flash to just stream the file (no buffering), or somehow wipe the EWF buffer.

Looking to upgrade my carpc to this.
What CF should I go with and with what size? I want to put microxp on a CF and using a CF to SATA connection as the IDE is used by the DVD burner and the second SATA will have a 2.5" 120GB HDD to store all my music, photos, etc so I can EWF my CF for fast bootup.
I don't know how many GB CF card would I need. There are some drivers (for the BT, GPS, VGA, and RR) and the GPS software will be on the external HDD. I got a few 150x 2GB around the house, but I can order Lexar 2GB or 4GB 300x UDMA CF or Kingston Ultimate 266x CF (or others in that range on buy.com)
Any reccommendations? What boot time could I expect?

Easiest way to figure it out how much sapce you'd need is to do a test setup on a hard drive. Set it all up exactly how you'd do it on the CF card. See how much space you need.

Will this speed up my CarPC boot times at all if used on a 2.5" hard drive? It currently takes me 46 seconds to boot.

You can pretty easily try minlogon and if it doesn't work out switch back to the normal winlogon. Same with EWF. I didn't notice a big difference with them on a hard drive.
You'd probably get more out of OS optimization and registry tweaking. Or switching to hibernation.

For some reason I can't get my PC to work with hibernation. I'm not sure if it has something to do with TinyXP or my VIA EPIA CN-13000G motherboard. I would love to use hibernation, though, if I could get it to work. It's not on the shutdown selection menu and I couldn't when I went to enable it, the tab was not there. Any ideas?

I was looking at the info file for TinyXP Rev 09 this morning and the creator has a batch file that you need to run before you enable hibernation. I'm not sure when the creator started doing that though, Rev 03 didn't have that issue.

It could be your hardware, but I don't anything about your motherboard.
