Note1: These files can bee useless for me, but still required for your config. Its up to you whether you delete them or not. In any case., its highly experimental and you should only proceed if you know what you are doing. I strongly reccomend you to do full backup first in case anything goes wrong.

Note2: I suggest that you run these scripts only after your system is fully istalled. Those components may not be needed for your apps to run, but may be essential for your apps instalation.

Note3: If you are still interested, download these *.cmd files and run them on your system. Before you do, edit them to replace all "\OS" strings with whatever your WindowsXP root directory is called like, typically with "\WINDOWS". Its just because I installed my OS into \OS directory and I am lazy to change that.

Note4: If you realize that everything is still working after you have deleted these bits, you may decide to clean registries from deleted .DLL files as well. I did not bother to do so, but I will be really happy if some1 will and will post what .REG file of it.

Depends on what you have already removed. Iny my case (and I went as much as I could with nLite) it saved more then 35 MBs.

looking @ the files, it removes alot of files Id use, like task manager, ipconfig, ect.

nice. Without a page file or hibernation, I'm barely over 512. This includes all my codecs, drivers etc.. and destinator. This is the only one that won't work off another partition. Frodoplayer and phonecontrol are installed on partition D.
I'm stuck using a 1G CF card unless I can get this under that 512 threshhold. Thanks for the info!

lol thx for the tips mpattonm, this is good stuff, never even notice i wouldnt use these in the car, what a fool that i use ipconfig and others on regular pcs but there would be no need on a car pc.

Would it be possible to put a comment in the batch file relating it back to the list in the images. There's a couple of things I want to keep, but am not sure of exactly in the batch file.
Actually, come to think of it. I'm going to write an application that will do all of this with a GUI. Kind of like the way nlite does it, but this will be post install.
If you can send me a file with each component's name and associated dlls, or just comment the batch file, I can take it from there.
What do you think?

Well it would be pretty hard task to do component by component, considering XPE consist of about 1000 components. I have another suggestion: Maybe you could try to download XPe, install it and get the list of files (and whats even more important and impossible to do manually - reg. keys) for each components directly from its SQL database?
