copy and paste the output from the following commands:

ewfmgr c:

ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live

*EDIT*: After you commit and disable how do you restart? Do you resume from hibernation or do you do a full restart?

fixxed.
I still dont know what happend tho.

I typed ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live (System kept restarting every time i tried. and was still disabled after it had restarted)

I've been messing about and it apprears to be ok now... heres what i did:
I typed ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable (left of -live) and restarted.
I typed ewfmgr c: and it was still enabled.
I typed ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live and it didnt restart!

What went wrong tho? i really did start to panic! just when I had computer just right.

When I disable, I type I typed ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live make changes, then type I typed ewfmgr c: -enable, and do a full restart... is this right?

mick.

you have to always use the -live parameter with -commitanddisable in our configuration. There's another configuration with EWF where the writes are stored on a seperate partition, but ours are kept in RAM so you have to use -live.

In the configuration I posted, EWF keeps all writes made to the disk in RAM. Every time you reboot those changes are lost. If you want to commit those changes you have to use the "ewfmgr c: -commitanddisable -live" command. The -live switch tells it to commit and disable right now rather than during a reboot (which isn't possible for us).
