Hibernation

I know just don't use hibernation is the key answer here. Nut I oh so just love my music just starting up 20 seconds after I get in my car. Anywho it worked great for me for like 3 months then I had power supply issues and thought that was this problem.

So now I have replaced the power supply and now it still does this. Ok it comes out of hibernation just dandy then works for a good 30-45 seconds and bang video cuts out. I pop down the rear seat and look at the pc its running fine all usb items on, fan is running but no video next going to test with another video card but if anyone has had this issue or has any ideas let me know

Thanks,
Dustan

Are you using an ITPS? If so, is this problem occurring when the car is off or on?

Check if everything is seated correctly, especially your hard drive.

But it's only after hibernation? I'm not computer expert, but I have heard of problems with USB devices not working after hibernation of other drivers not reloading. I have mine set to not hibernate....I just have it go into standby mode 3 minutes after the Ignition shuts off. Then I have a diode-isolated feed from the dome light, through a relay, that turns the computer on on a dome light event. This restarts the CPU as soon as I open the door, so when I get in and crank the key, the LCD turns on and the computer's already up and running. The computer will stay in standby all day or overnight with an optima deep-cycle battery in the trunk that is isolated from the starting battery, allowing the computer to run on until the optima dies <never happened yet>.

I know this is an old thread, but I would like to know how you did this as that is the same way I want to set up my car pc. Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Doug.

Im sadly had this problem with my gaming rig in my house and I ended up finding out I had a power supply that didn't keep the voltage. I replaced it and now everything is running perfectly.. you might have this problem use another psu and check to see if thats the prob.
