hi, i was wondering how people in the uk were getting online with their carputers?

im thinking of going the 3g dongle route which are getting a lot of ad space at the minute but am dubious if its worth signing up for the monthly contracts.

living in rural scotland im most likely to want to go with vodafone as i understand it runs thru the masts so they are the only ones likely to give me a signal ... i just hope theres some true pay-as-you-go deals around the corner - the '3' payg deal looks ok but teh network is invisible where i live

any uk members ave any thoughts?

Go for the 3 one, or find a similar offer on vodafone.

I got my 3 one for £50, then its like £10 per 2gb of data

im wondering what the connection rates & stability are like. im gonna have to go for vodafone (scottish borders = voda territory, the rest are terrible) ... more a case of could a passenger browser the web & download stuff in a moving car or in teh middle of nowhere?
