BT in centrafuse

hi!

please help on this matter because i'm going crazy!!

it seems that I can't get the phone, CF navigation and igo8 to work at the same time...

the phone is no problem, it always gets connected

sometimes i get igo to connect to the bt gps, sometimes destinator, sometimes bluesoleil just crashes and "needs to be closed"

any opinions on this? or even a simple solution that i'm overseeing?

tnx

edit: don't know it it matters but i'm using a wm6.1 phone

ok, so I reinstalled everything and the same problem appears...

the main issue is that the gps keeps getting disconnected in iGO8...every 15 sec or so...

and if I turn off the phone in CF, it still gets disconnected...

any ideas?

I dunno what IGO is (GPS?), but it looks like you might need X-Port to dish out the GPS signal to your setup...
Destinator needs it's own COM port, as does iGO (I assume)...
Your phone, thru the BT, will also need a COM port (I think BS assignes two COM ports).

Get X-Port, set it up to read the actual GPS data stream on the COM, then setup each GPS device with a COM port that you've configured in X-Port...see if that helps!

No prob Patrik...glad I could help!
As soon as I saw 2 (or more?) GPS devices, I knew that wasn't gonna work on it's own!

still I have problems...

if my phone is disabled, the navigation won't connect to the bt gps module...
it's like the phone is needed to start a connection between centrafuse and the module

Hmmm...
Your "BT GPS module", is that the iGo? I can recommend a USB GPS device instead, which would certainly eliminate BT issues with the phone...

GPS reciever?? Your best bet is to switch to a USB based reciever. I have no idea why your having BT connection issues without the phone on.

I thought about that but the thing is...I already bought this bt gps and am a little broke at the moment

so, until I raise some $$ for it, I'm trying to make the current setup work

CF only uses the BT for phone, you cannot use BT GPS and phone at the same time. Once CF activates the BT is dedicated to CF. Anything else trying to access the BT will crash or CF will crash. Depending on you BT GPS, you can simply buy a USB cable to convert it to USB GPS. I had the same issue with my BT GPS, so I bought the cable and that was that. I had some issues with GPS reception so I bought a BU-353 which most carpc people use. Its very cheap, but works good as h3ll!

I can not convert it with a cable, it is not supported by the gps device....

and I did manage CF and iGO to use the same bt gps, and phone at the same time, the problem is that if the phone is disabled, the navigation (CF nav and iGO) is a little slow and not so stable...

hope u understood my english
