Wireless Networking for CarPC

I am planning on putting a carpc in my firebird this spring. Just looking for ideas of suggestions for a wireless solution for Networking with home PC and for internet where available.

Since the computer will be in the rear behind one of the back panels, would a pci wireless card work from back there or since I plan on having at least one USB port up front, would it just be easier and work better to have a USB wireless card to just plug in there and work with the networking there. Just looking for ideas and suggestions. Still kind of cold around here to do any work so have a little time to find the right components. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

USB wireless adapters suck.
Take a look at this guy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833315041

It has an external antenna that you can put near the rear window to get better reception. That's a great card, it just doesn't work with vista 64 bit very well, which you probably don't have anyway.

Not all of them do, just the majority. They are designed for low cost, not for best possible reception.

Look for high power USB WiFi adapters. Most can accomodate for an external antenna, as well.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

Wow I was just looking at your Car PC specs and the wireless adapter you have listed there is pretty intense. I didn't realize they made USB adapters that powerful.
