These are the phones that this software says is available to be used with. I hope you have the phone.
LG 5350
Samsung A500 and N400
Sanyo 4900 and 6400
says "Hitachi phones"
When you click on one of the options below, it tells you the phones that I listed above.

I did a quick EBAY search and what's the real gouge on these USB cables? Can they charge or not? I read conflicting info between the different items for sale. Some say the charging cables will kill your phone....
I searched for "sanyo 4900 data cable"

Just got my Sprint/Sanyo SCP-4900 phone stolen, but my contract was up last Saturday anyway. What's a good phone out right now? Any recommendations?

Well, after looking at the Sprint site I ran across this:
Sprint PCS Business ConnectionSM
Back to Sprint PCS Vision
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For a minimal monthly charge, Sprint PCS Business ConnectionSM Personal Edition gives you all this:
Secure, remote, real-time access to Microsoft® Outlook® or Lotus Notes® information – including email messages and attachments, calendars, business directories and personal contacts.
Access to documents stored on your desktop PC.
Personal email from Internet email accounts including Sprint PCS Mail, Yahoo!, Earthlink and more.
Our unique connection sharing technology doesn't require you to keep your PC connected to your company's server to use this service. Check with your company's IT manager for possible firewall restrictions and the Sprint PCS Service Plans Guide for pricing.
Connect to your personal edition with the following:
Palm PoweredTM and Windows-enabled Sprint PCS Vision Smart Devices
PDAs
PCs with Internet access
Many WAP-enabled Sprint PCS Phones
* Sprint, the diamond logo design, Sprint PCS VisionSM, Picture MailSM, and Sprint PCS Business Connection are trademarks of Sprint Communications Company, L.P. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
Back to Sprint PCS Vision
It's only $5/month. Couldn't I get this service and then legally use it for my "mobile" PC or Home PC for that matter?

I'm going to be getting the LG 325 bluetooth phone. My brother has it and it seems really nice. Right now I have a Samsung VGA1000(A620) which is also a very nice phone.

I have a Sanyo PM-8200 with Sprint. My web service is $5/mo because I got a special deal on it. Would the data cable from www.mycoolcell.com work?

Freakin' nice phone man, I have 2 on my plan, LOVE 'EM! Nice phones, though one little problem. Learn to use speed dial or suffer the fat finger... I have to use my fingernails to dial otherwise I end up pushing like 4 buttons at the same time. Other than that, it takes nice pictures, custom ringers aren't hard to do for it at all, and it's battery life is ok. All in all a good buy for me.
And, you can connect to the PCS web with it thru bluetooth on your carPC. And I got a jabra bluetooth headset, pretty nice too, small, light, can't really tell I'm wearing it. Though I did get asked one day if I like star-trek.(!?) Damn trekkies.

Data Works After Service Shut Off!!!
hahaha?!?! so my sprint service is disconnected RIGHT NOW....and yet I am posting this from my #777 connection!!!
YES its TRUE....when SPRINT disconnects your phone(for lack of payment) they apparently only disable those features that CHARGE $$ to your bill!! I have been disconnected for over a month now...but my #777 is working fine!!
I have been using this service for 2 years, like at least 8 hours a day, and have even TOLD the provider I am doing it....they cant tell....whoever says there is a penalty....WORKS FOR SPRINT AND IS LYING!!! they hate to have thier data stream tied up....but thier back end sofware is not aware of this feature....(if you ERASE your password in the dialup screen) I have used a N400-and a A620...speeds up to 100kbps(until you try downloading)....the first second of data bursts at high speed...for simple browsing this is great...but if your connection is a download....the KBPS slows by the second....down to about 10kbps...anyone who needs data in thier car.....just add a phone to your plan(or clone one of your own lines) and DATA AWAY FOR FREE!!!
I am kinda the UNOFFICIAL spokesperson for this feature (over 100 of my friends abuse this service for free)hahaha....
I travel the country in a rv....glasscrafting at festivals....and this servise works great on the move....ANYWHERE you get a signal...the data is FAST!!
DO NOT USE ANY OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER THE DATA FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS!!!
AND UNDOUBTABLY IT STOPS WORKING WHEN THE PHONE GOES DEAD!!

I have been using my bluetooth enabled Sprint phone with my bluetooth enabled Pocket PC and have had no issues at all. I use the bluetooth manager built into Windows and set up my phone as a dail-up network modem and I dial #777 (like it says in the phone's manual). I don't use it excessively though. I have no real need to use it unless I happen to be away from home and work and have no access to another computer with internet capabilities. Mostly I just check message boards and email while on the go.
Sprint has not said anything or charged me any extra for doing this. I do have the Unlimited service. After reading this thread I did look up Sprints Terms & Conditions and saw that it was against their policy. I would suggest to anyone that does this to use it in moderation and don't try to download large files.

Average connection speed
My phone connected to Vision at 246k/s I tried to download MSN messenger and was downloading at 20k which slowed to 14k after a minute. Is this typical for everyone?
I asked about this at our local sprint store and I was informed that Sprint has a new offering for people who desire to use their phone as a modem however the data plan was costly, I believe 20mb/mth was another $20 on top of your regular Vision service. Anyone have that plan?
