Cool prog for voice chat

I was browsing the web and stumbled upon this really cool program. http://www.skype.com

It's made by the people who made kazaa.

I've tested it with people who's access speed ranges from Cell phone internet (144K) to people with a 6MB net connection.

All chat sessions had no noticable lag.

Great if you are in car and want to voice chat with friends.

It's free.

Actually I thought the same exact thing as you! When I installed it, I updated Ad-Aware, and ran it. Nothing found that was out of the ordinary.

I have been using it for quite a while now. You do get lag sometimes, mainly when one person is doing something else at the same time. But other than that it is excellent

i use it also and would like to add that it is a great program.

it only has a few quirks
1. for some reason at times the voices go digital, restarting the program fixes (rare)
2. if you enter too much personal information (or if you put sex:female) you get a ton of calls from random people
3. contacts are stored localy so you have to manualy move them when you add skype to another computer

that is about all i can think of and these problems are not very big compared to how great the program works

P.S. you can stop the random calls thing by changing it so only people you give permission to can call you
