I have a nokia 6131 and tmobile with no web plan. I setup the bluetooth modem according to the above post and also typed the proxy into I.E. and Firefox. When i try to access websites, I get an error: Requested content 'google.com/' cannot be accessed. You do not have access to the site.

Do any of you ever get this problem?

do this, go onto your tmobile account and add tmobileweb for 5.99 and ive it about 30 minutes, and try it then. if it starts working you know that is your issue. u can cancel tmobileweb at any time and u will only get charged for however many days u used it

werd. I just signed up for tmobile web and the internet works through proxy. But it's pretty damn slow. It's barely ok for web browsing. and freezes with the traffic feature in road runner.

Yes my phone supports EDGE.

I think i will use it as a backup internet but thanks anyway.

T-Mobile Internet with T-MobileWeb on your laptop

Enjoy.

Rumor has it that t-mobile will stop the free gprs soon. So far it's working......

Well it looks like it stopped working here, but as you said I called T-Mobile and got T-mobileWeb for $5.99/month and everything is working fantastic.

here's the site that showed me how:
T-Mobile Internet Settings

It got my T-mobile smartphone online without the proxy, so no port 80 restrictions and even have activesync working (nothing like showing the blackberry boys your always-on email and only paying $6/month for it ;-)

LOVED the free internet. But I definitely don't mind only $6/month.
