So I am curious. I have a Palm Treo 700WX (Windows mobile 5). I have the Unlimited data package. Could I use this (since it dials to #777 for access) for free and not being charged minutes? Correct?

Yes, you can. Although you may have to hack into your phone and change some things manually to allow it.

I have an XV6700 (PDA phone similar to your Treo) now with the unlimited data plan. I use it all the time for my tethering with my laptop via USB or Bluetooth. Works great, but I had to manually change a few things on the phone (easy to do, search google).

I tried to use ph#@vzw3g.com/vzw over bluetooth and it won't work. Do I have to use the cable? I have a LG VX8300 connecting to a laptop with built in bluetooth.

ok, I have been reading this thread and I have to say, I am utterly confused. I have an LG 9800 and I am wanting to do this via Bluetooth. Is this possible yet? Is there any mods I can do? Also as for the cable method, does that still work or did verizon kill that?

again..

1. connect the phone to the computer (via bluetooth etc)
2. establish a dialup network to Verizon and choose to use the phone as the modem. The PC cannot access the phone as a modem unless you have the two paired first.
3. dial away w/ login and pass.

Ok, here is my problem then, when I try to connect my phone to my pc via Blue tooth, my computer asks for my phone's passkey, I put that in. Then here is were my problem begins, my phone says "Accept pairing from Joe-PC?" then I accept on my phone, then my phone wants the passkey from my computer. I have no clue what the computer passkey is. On the phone, it will only let me input numbers. I have Kensington USB Bluetooth adapter

for passkey always 0000, from the phone or pc its always the same. Its just that sometimes you have to enter it more than once. Keep doing it and it will be fine.

I have a Moto KRZR, Running Vista Home Premium connecting via a USB cable. My Verizon plan is "America's Choice II Familyshare, 1000 any, Unlimited N&W/in Calling"

I am able to coonect to the PC, dial, enter username & password, but I get the following error message returned...

I receive the same error message trying xxxxxxxxxx@vzw3g.com & qnc. Any thought or ideas?

However, now I am running into another problem that I posted in a different thread (wasn't sure if it was too far off-topic here, since it dealt with installing Motorola drivers on a non-Intel system)

Angry Motorola KRZR free WAP

Followed instructions and managed to get Google as my proxy. However, I can no longer use, or even find, Verizon's portal. Any way to get it back?

I was able to get this to work on my laptop (Vista) but not on my G4. Setting all appear the same, have tried with and without the init string. Getting that same "username not valid". Anyone think of any reason it would work on Vista but not XP (Home, SP2). Might there be something else missing?

I am able to connect using DUN on my E815 with phone#@vzw3g.com/vzw but I cannot use the EVDO network. I have to connect to 1x network though.
