Well I got my cable yesteday and it came with a driver disk and it installed no problem.I plugged in the phone and tried setting up a dial up connection and got nothing at all.I did notice every time it tried to connect the password seemed to change on its own.Has anyone actually done this with a Kyocera 2325 and Verizon???I would appreciate a step by step from the beginning if possible.

Hey I was wondering some one said you have to have a 1X on your screen for this to work but I don’t. I have the America's Choice plan and my friend has the same plan on a different phone and he has a 1X on his screen I was wondering if the T720 wont be able to do this or if it just does not display it.

Interesting info. I have a national access PCMCIA card for my laptop from work so I am on National Access all the time unlimited usage. The question is how to get an external PCMCIA card reader for my car....

I got the computer to recognize the phone(actually I just tried another computer)and tried many different combinations of passwords and usernames-qnc/qnc,xxxxxxxxxx@vzw3g.com/vzw etc. but none seem to work.I get connected and it says connected to remote computer, verifying password and then the call is ended.I am open to suggestions at this point.Iam really wondering if this phone is 1X capable at all cs rep says yes,but everyone else says no it is a Kyocera 2325 from almost 2 years ago.I am already setup for an early reup on my contract and may just get another phone and start over.Any suggestions on a phone???I dont really use it to talk that much but the internet would be nice in the truck though!!!!

The phone is 1XRTT Compatible.

When I had Verizo, I had the same phone, and it worked perfectly. I got connections rates from 200Kbps-260Kbps, DOwnload about 13-20KBps

T720C Info

Scroll down to the high speed internet section, and you'll see it is CDMA200/1xRTT compatible.

Peace,

Rafster

Well I've just tried this with my work phone and it does work. It is a Motorola V60s, and we do have the "America's Choice" plan at work. My phone does have on its display that "1x" icon. Man this is sweet!!! Thanks CoCa and big_cali_dave

it works!!!!! finally

Well after much cursing and hair pulling I finally got my internet connection to work on my Kyocera 2325.I downloaded Kyocera Wireless Phone Configuration software today and started poking around and I found something called PPP in the DATA section of the phone was disabled as well as PPP Authentication.I noticed when the phone would try to connect it would connect to a remote computer and then abruptly end the call, but, while it was connecting it said "PPP Call" on the screen so i figured that was a good start and it connected right away!!!!!The speed isnt terrific(I have Comcast Cable internet and have grown accustomed to "Instant Gratification"LOL)but it will serve my purpose just fine.I think it may have something to do with the computer too it is an Intermec 266mhz tablet PC but it is all I could afford for something portable to take the junkyard and flea markets to check values.Anyway THANK YOU for all your help and suggestions, all were put to use in one form or another!!!!!!!

Check out CellPhoneHacks.com LG Section

That's where my cousin and I have found many answers to questions with my mom's and his LG VX4400

This is exactly what was happenig to me until a helpful tech at Verizon told me to enter at$qcmdr=2 where it says initialization string in you phone/modem options under the control panel. Apparently its a symptom of futuredial cables

I have a v710. The phone is overall pretty good. Yes, the bluetooth is crippled by verizon. That is why I have started a class action lawsuit against Verizon. Yep, you read that right. There was an article on slashdot about it and right now wallstreet journal is trying to juice info out of me. I can't say much about it, but if we win, the phone will have uncrippled bluetooth (at the very least).

I have been conecting to the internet with 1x for over a year now. When I had my T720 I did it by usb cable. Now that I have the v710 I do it wirelessly with Bluetooth. The great thing about using bluetooth is that I can use my desktop, laptop, truckputer or PDA and connect. Works out nice.

P.S. I will be happy to answer any questions about the v710, bluetooth, express network or qnc for anyone.

Coca-I tried the at$qcmdr=2 but it didnt help at all.I was just about ready to give up until I downloaded the Kyocera software and started playing with the phone.Im just glad it works!!!!!I am 99.9% sure it was because Verizon had the phone crippled-this way they figured i would just give up renew my contract, buy a new phone cause you know the "freebie"they give you for signing a new contract wont have an "official" Verizon mobile office kit which you will need for tech support from them, plus sign up for a "DATA" plan.Just think about all the people who tried this and just gave up and spent more money to get it to work for them-this spells SCAM anyway you slice it as far as Iam concerned.Just my opinion though.
