Just to help a few people out with the cables. Instead of the $25 from rat shack, a great place to do business with and good prices: http://www.eforcity.com Use them or not, just thought I'd throw options out.

What operating system are you running???What disk did it ask for????My Intermec 6640 which is running Win98 1st Edition asks for a disk when installing alot of hardware.I dont have the disk for it so I have to wait until I get a copy of it to install wireless network card so I can use it in the house without using a network cable.

There is a possibility that the person that installed your Win98 1st Edition copied the CAB files to your hard drive. In which case you would not need the CD. Usually whaen the CABs are on the hard drive, they are located in the C:\Win98 folder, but it could differ depending on what the person that installed Windows on that machine did.
If you are able to borrow a Windows 98 CD, all you have to do is copy the Win98 Folder to your hard drive from the cd. That should solve your needs to put the cd in when you are installing hardware.
Hope this helps.
Peace,
Rafster

You might not have data services turned on. Call vzw CS and ask them. It should work, don't use QNC, thats worthless. Use the phone number and vzw one.

Also, make sure you have an Americas Choice plan. VZW does not enable (AFAIK) the Express Network on local plans.
Good luck!

According to this ( http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=127), your phone should work on Express Network. Poke around @ http://www.cellphonehacks.com, (Beware, people @ that forum are not as nice as people here) Good Luck

After looking into it, I've come to the conclusion that none of this would work on a mac. Am I correct in this? I guess the drivers just don't exist.

LOL, Verizon is known for crippling their phones so that users can't customize them without being F*&$ed with download prices (Ringtones, Wallpaper, Games, etc...), which is one of the reasons why they are getting sued. Read on:
http://www.reuters.com/audi/newsArti...toryID=7322651
Anyways, good luck with enabling your phone to do something it was supposed to be able to do BEFORE Kyocera sent it to Verizon.
Peace,
Rafster

I am using a VX4400 and it works for the most part. I am using the drivers on teh Futuredial website.
But I am having an annoying problem. The phone will only stay connected for a small amount of time then it disconnects and says DORMANT on the phone. It is kind of annoying and also the connection comes to a screeching halt but still says its connected. If anyone knows what the problem is I would REALLY appeciate your expertise.

hey guys from searching around there are a lot of different USB cables, how do you know which ones are compatible to connect with?
I have the LG VX 6000 and there are several choices, which one is correct, or has been proven by someone that it works properly?
These are all the ebay choices and some charge and do other things. http://search.ebay.com/lg-6000-usb_W...trypageZsearch
And here is the one suggested by someone http://www.cellphoneshop.net/usbdacaforlg.html
Which cable do you use BigToach ?
