I must be dumb or something, but I can't find diddly squat about it on the howardforums. In fact, I can't find squat on that forum anyway. Those people don't speak English. It's all V3c this and EDGE that and VZW and Arrgghh!! Too many abbreviations and industry jargon. We would never do that here at MP3car.com!

Check www.phonescoop.com for all and any info on anything having to do with phones. There's even a dictionary link to find out what all that means.

Peace,

I worked in the Cellular industry for the past 4 years. My last job was @ Cingular.

This is how it is supposed to work (but this was not how it was setup on our account). In the end they took care of it for us. What I was trying to say was that the "default" choice in the computer is for a 2 year agreement (so if they go back in to "change" something (anything) then the computer shows that one is in a 2 year contract. It is a computer issue (as the contract is still at what was agreed upon initially). I was able to verify this both through others (via newsgroups) and via the cingular rep that we setup the contract through.

The only problem is if one does not catch this what happens? (I can see the rep looking in the computer and saying sorry you still have x amount of years left on your contract, we were able to correct this because we had a copy of the receipt/contract).

I do understand what you were referring to up top but our situation was a very simple, change of phone due to the first not working (warranty issue).

This should not have changed the terms of the contract (provided we received the same phone/etc). In the end it was corrected (however we had to use documentation to prove what they should have already known.

I'm looking at the Samsung A900 http://www.samsung.com/Products/Mobi...A900ZKSXAR.asp

It's basically a Razr for Sprint. I've never heard anything good about other Samsungs, but the people on Howardforums seem to like this one.

It's almost exactly a Razr. I looked at a hardware spec sheet on both, exactly the same. I think the A900 had a little bigger screen, don't remember which screen it was.
