true, if someone notices your 200mb-1gb monthly transfers from your small WAP phone (each page is about 2-5kb) they'll call you and ask what's up.
this is when they'll make you upgrade to the $80/month plan.

The reason I put this post up is for everyone to realize there is a "Carputer-Friendly" Cell phone out there! I use my carputer to get traffic, weather, and route info via webservice (xml is small). This phone will let you tether to it for net access while your are using it to talk with someone! How great is that? I'm not saying this is for you to download dvds off isohunt.
Not to mention, now with Cingular Video Service, it will be harder to identify those using 200-300 MB a month for their service or for some other data.

Exactly what I use mine for..... although I have to admit 200-300mb is probably high for a few web pages etc.
Just as note - Tmobile in the UK are about to release ( on April 1st and no this is not a joke its been confirmed though offical sources ) an all you can eat data add on for £7 per month on top of your current contact - and if you have 3G its at 3G speeds... I mention this cos I guess it will head over to the states if sucessfull.... which so far Web N Walk has been, killing most of the opersition off.

I heard something about that once 3G gets completely implemented, that's what they're gonna use for Voice calls. They're actually, going to use 3G to make phone calls. That's WAAAAAAAAAY down the line, but I think 3G is actually cheaper for them to use than actual cell signal....
Who knows....
Peace,
Rafster

Not sure about the states but in the EU biding went a bit silly for the licences for 3G.... in other words the have no choice but to hammer 3G now.
