Thanks,,

How much was the phone? Why do you have $30 of credit (does it come with $10 + the $20 BB boost card?)
Out the door, how much was it for the i450 with the $30 credit on it. Thx

Th i450 is $80.
All Boost phones come with $10 credit. It just happens that the week that I bought the phone, Best Buy was having a deal where if you get any Boost phone (IE: i415 @ $50), you get a $20 card free...
Walmart has the $20 cards for $19.88
Peace,
Rafster
P.S. I finally found a site with the Codeplug software! http://www.wog.com

Codeplugging is good for those with the i450 that still doesn't have WiDen enabled....
It's just a way to make it enabled...
Peace,
Rafster

Bits, it's a tiny bit faster than dial up... Maybe ISDN speeds?

Jesus that is GREAT for 6 bucks a month.... I am going to have to do that. I have never had a pre-paid type of phone how do I activate the new cards. Will I always need to be able to get to the phone? Maybe I could mount it in the dash somewhere and use phoco to activate it hell even make a plugin for centrafuse to just call the number and auto dial in the activation code that you type in.
Got me thinkin here.

Really simple! you buy the phone, comes in a kit....
Activate wiyj instructions
To add more mins buy a card ($20 card at walmart = $19.38), follow instructions.
Have to add another card every 90 days or acct get's cancelled, lose mins, and number.
Peace,
Rafster

How do you activate the cards?
1888-xxx-xxxx
code # on the 20$ card xxx-xxxxx-xxxxxx
how does all that work?
Thinking to make a plugin in centrafuse to have it dial that on the phone and have it enter the code #.

Anyone with one of these phones have a linux box handy?
Hoping it shows up as a virtual commport and the windows drivers aren't needed. (But I doubt it)

Mkbrowns: Once you do the initial configuration, you can add a credit card to it and add money to the phone via the internet. So you don't have to mess with it.
shotgun: It shows up as a Motorola iDen USB modem, I don't know if nix drivers have been written for it. In your case, you probably would want to buy the serial modem cable, so the phone would act as a straightforward serial modem.

I use a KVM switch to switch between an ubuntu box and my XP box, so I'll plug in my phone later today and see what happens. (gotta go to work )
Rafster: Codeplugging seems cappable of alot of things (looks like a firmware update), is it concievable that via codeplugging software you could edit the firmware to reboot after it recieves a phonecall? (phonecall from wrong number interupts java applet, which means no more gps tracking. A reboot would activate the software again)
