Hi, I tried the datebook restart mologogo trick. However, during the times that I set mologogo to start, it will ask for confirmation "YES/NO". I have to press a button before it continues. How do you get yours to work? My phone is a i425.

I haven't heard of any problems with it.

Solving problem of i415 hanging on calls/messages

Hi all,

For i425 users, are you guys experiencing the problem with the java apps (mologogo, etc) stalling out when the phone receives a call, text mesage, etc??

I'm experiencing the problem on the i415 and want to find a way around it. In my situation the i415 will be hard-wired to my car, so there won't be any battery issues. I'm thinking that either recycling power (off then on) periodically or by using an 2-axis accelerometer to recycle power when the vehicle hasn't moved for a certain period of time.

I'd love to hear if someone has solved this problem already...

Thanks,
Escapee

newbie question on Boost Mobile

I considering Boost Mobile for a network connectivity option for my CarPC. I understand that the speeds are slow like dialup but I'm really ready to commit to a contract since I barely use my cell for phone use. My question is will the Motorola i335 with a USB cable work as a Tethering modem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Got my i425 set up today. Works, but painfully slow as indicated. One of the earlier posts indicated that it was sufficient for 48k shoutcast radio. That got my hopes up for some streaming comedy channels, but in my experience It's not really fast enough for even 28k streaming radio unless you want to continuously rebuffer.

Are you in an iDEN area? If so, did you activate iDEN?

My understanding is limited, but I am paying the .35 cents a day for the unlimited data, if that's what you mean. And I thought iden was the standard method the i425 uses for data anyway. Was I suppose to do something else?

Go here to find out how to check for iDEN enabled.

You don't have to pay the .35 a day, by the way. That's only for web browsing.

That posts refers to WIDEN enabled, not iden. Since WIDEN was shut off, I didn't think it was relevant. I'll check it out though.

Oops - looks like you're right about that one! It may still be worth checking out since WIDEN is a variation of iDEN. The same activation may be required. Not sure.

Ending up going with the AT&T MediaNet prepaid method for $19.99. Fast enough for web-browsing with images and streaming audio, it's not terribly expensive and still no contract.
