Pics of my TruckPC System on the Bench.
I just took these of my Truck PC today on my office workbench:
>> Rear of Case:

>> Mobo and P/S (M2-ATX) Wired up to both Brick/Car Wiring Capabilities:

>> Close Up of the Case Closed (Morex 3688B)

>> Location in my Truck for my TruckPC - PERFECTO!
I will be starting the Fabrication or Slide-out Shelf system and Modifications of the Front 20% Seat Mounting Frame. The system will be totally housed and hidden by the seat and accessibly by just LIFTING the Seat Coushion Up!
All cables will be custom made to be run under the floor molded-carpet system through a hatch area in the middle of the frame area in the floor.
I will be installing a 1000W Power invertor/conditioner to run other systems as I add them to the whole setup. (To power my USB Hubs, Printer and Other Equipment)

Thats is the only thing I love about those trucks is the center console can easily hold a PC. I just wish Ford would redesign the outside more dramatically. Its like thier running out of ideas. Anyways I hate lifted trucks, but yours is nice, very elegantly done.

You should look behind the radio. The radio cavity on those trucks is HUGE. In my friends truck, I made some brackets and fit a BIG 4 channel amplifier behind there. The PC could EASILY fit back there. (unless you already mounted an amp there like we did, lol)

Everyone knows though that a CarPC will never ever run 100% perfect. I would be ****ed if a component cr@pped out and I had to take apart the front panel to get to the PC.

Well.. Iw ill be posting more pictures later this weekend or next week. I have made another milestone on getting everything up and going/installed. The Truck PC, Screen, USB/Media Slot System (Integrated into my Dash) WiFi Dongle/Docking Station Installed on Dash, All Power Systems fully function (From A2-MTX P/S) with a little room to spare! ALL Installed.. Totally Hidden (The PC, etc.) Screen Kinda blends into my Dash when off.. I even have the PC set up to be Remotely turned on with my Alarm System Remote! SWEET! Installed the RR-Skin: DFX 3.0 by JohnPWB, and OMG!!! Worth every penny and effort to support and will MAKE you want to install a TruckPC Yourself! Check back from more Fotos, SOON!!

I will be gladly waiting.... infact Im kind of jealous. Your truck has so much room to work with, and you were able to make everything compact, but because I a technosexual, i had to have every feature and the most powerful which has cost me, the whole HU space in my dash, the entire center console, the entire bottom passenger seat, and the passenger back seat itself.

I like your term "technosexual". Turned on by technology, huh?
I think the previous term for that has been "early adopter", identified as someone who likes to live out on the bleeding edge of technology . . . gotta have the biggest, baddest, fastest, loudest, broadest frequency range, etc . . .

HiJax.. LOL!! I knwo what you mean! I have been customizing trucks/cars since I was a teen. Here I am and fixing to turn 37, and I will never grow up.. LOL I am a Techno-Holic myself! (That's my word for my addiction..) I have done the huge sound system 24 Speakers in a Single cab 1987 S-10 PU (Named: Sweet-N-Low):
10 12" Kicker Comps-Stitched, 10 Pioneer 2-way Mids/Tweets, 2 Alte-Lanz Titanium Super Tweets, 1 Pioneer Center Channel Speaker, 1 15" MTX for the bed to pre-fire the bass attack... LOL 162DB!! 210HP 4-Banger, Dropped, Neon, you name it... That was the good ole' days in HS..
NOW.... HOLY CRAP! If I knew then what I know now.. MAN OH MAN...
This TruckPC stuff is UNREAL.. I am still amazed at what I want to do with it all every time I get in my truck.. I just replaced the Standard WIndows Startup Sound with the THX Ramp Soundbite... (the OLD SCHOOL ONE - When THX was first introduced.. Not the new one with the train, etc...) MAN.. Makes you almost.. nevermind.... LOL! I LOVE IT.. It is a total blast to work with.. I wne and visted my sister over spring break (I work for a local school district as the Director of Technology), and they want me to open a shop to do these installs for others.. They were tripping.. They want me to do one in ther Nissan Quest and my BRo-In-Law wants me to do one in his 30th Ann Pontiac TA.. Now that would ROX!! Already installed Nitrous in it for him, LOL! He freaked out when he saw my truck..
This is a DANGEROUS ADDICTION, I tell you that! It is a total blast..
I will get off my rear and put some more pics up... I have pretty much completed the install.. NEVER FINISHED Tweaking... hahahaha I will update my stats and specs, as well... Added some koolio new twists!

I closing in on finishing the main parts of the PC.... I am still missing the TPMS system, but that can wait. Also have to have a pro install my screens and redo my dash. I got the processor fan today so this weekend I hope to be installing into my car.

by the way,
Its not finished yet, thats why it has a huge crack in it.
I have to press it down, thats all.
I have an f-150, cut my bench seats into bucket seats and installed an expedition console.
what do you think?
