Citroen Xsara VTS, 2nd Carpc project

Hey There

I am a long time member of this forum, and a have had a working carpc for along time now. I recently found the Commell LS-372, and thought i would get around to building a much smaller CarPC this time around, even though my old one is quite small to. So the objective will be to make it so small that it will fit behind my 8" monitor in the dash, as will i fit a new AMP for the front & maybe some rear speakers in there, so my trunk will be nice and tidy, with no space wasted there, only i small sub and my 10" sub will be back there.

So no pictures yet except for the old ones, link is in my sig, i will keep a list of hardware and plans here, with prices and links to them.

- Motherboard : Commell LS-372 Core 2 Duo, 216 Euro, Arrived
- CPU : Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2Ghz 4MB L2, 800 Mhz FSB, 202 Euro, Arrived
- Memory : 2GB 667 Mhz 200 PIN SO-DIMM,45 Euro,Arrived
- Disk : Hitachi TravelStar E7K200, 98 Euro, Arrived
- Case : Probably Custom Sheetmetal, Trying to find a workshop
- Power : MpegBox DSX12VD, 75 Euro,Arrived
- Wireless : Engenius NMP-8602+ MiniPCI 400mw a/b/g Card & cables for chassis connection, 43 Euro, Arrived
- Radio : HQCT, Ripped from the current system, 99 Euro
- GPS : USB Sirf3,TMC, Ripped from the current system, 98 Euro

So for now the cost is : 680 Euro

You dont have to change much wiring.... My install is huge, with enough components to out do a high tech survellance truck, lol.... I opted to buy plug and play adapters that pluged right into my original wiring. Only wiring I had to run was the 4 Gauge wire, reverse wire, audio for rear amps and a power wire for the cam. So your not going to put the PC into a diffrent car?

I agree -- I'm setting up my installation to be completely removable and transferrable. The tiny size of that Commell board you're using means you could just about put that system on a Segway.

Ya, i will put this system in my new car eventually. I was actually talking about all the other wiring other than the pc, since i am moving my system from the trunk to the dash, everything will be wired differently, since i am not using any of the original cabling in my car.
