Very niceeeee..... also very brave. I would never have removed components off my MoBo or have modified my power supply like that. It took me about 6 months to finally decide to make the built into the dash (I hated the fold out). Cant wait to see more pictures.

I started test about video connection.
I get some interferences on the screen.
The problem comes with the power supply.
I powered the screen with it (GND, +12V & +5V) and I got some trouble. I will make my own power supply.

So please I someone has a broken/non functional/unused Lilliput indash screen (older model), let me know.

Hey coucouillu, looking good so far. I have a Audi A4, and am wondering if you've found anything that replicates the "soft touch" plastic in our cars? I've been looking for something to match, and haven't found much
Thanks

You won't trust me but I thought to start search for this yesterday.
I will need to paint like original palstic like you.
But as you said, I understand that it is hard to find.
I will ask on different forums.
We keep informed.

I am now trying to hack lilliput microcontroller inder to replace it by a PICBASIC one with my own software.
I have scaned some signals but I am not able now to understand what they mean.
For exemple :
and
These signals are "FLIP UP" and "FLIP DOWN" buttons.
Looks like SERIAL protocol at 4800 bauds...
Really need help.

why do you want to redo the micro controllers?

First, the firmware of the first generation models is really bad. After 15 minutes of work, the unit frozen and I can't close it anymore. After investigation, some data's were corrupted in the 24C02 EEPROM. See HERE
It happens on 2 differents unit I had (have 3 for total).
secondly, I burnt the same outpout pin of the all 3 µmicrocontrollers during tests (bad wiring!!!).
I was looking for broken units for weeks but none has one to sell.
And then, I would like make My own firmware in order to the screen makes exactly what I want for open/close/AV-AUDIO inputs-outputs...
But Now, I find it really hard.
I have now hacked all signals beetween the screen and the main board. But I can't reproduce them with my PICBASIC. I really don't know how I will find a solution and I haven't found anyone who could help me....
Here is a synthesis of signals :

ill tell you what i go to itt-tech and i have a very good electronics teacher there i will ask him to decode the signals for you and then i will give you his email address in case you have any more questions ok?
my grandpa was an electronics engineer before he retired so he might know also.

Thank you pdegameplayer for your help.
Sorry, I broke the picture link by deleting the first one in hosting and updating it with new one. Please EDIT your last post.
I would be pleased to have the address of your teacher.
1. It is -VC=0V , +VC=+5V. It is connected to PIN #11 (RXD) of the SM89516 µController.
I joined the Datasheet.
These signals are scanned from a bus beetwen 2 µControllers SM89516 communicating together.
I haven't given the scans of the second bus but I guess they should be like an aknowlegment. These two SM89516 runs with a XTAL=12MHZ and my µController PICBASIC has got a XTAL=20MHZ
2. Each square is 75µS each. I updated the graphics.
Thanks.
Brice.
