I got the new 0 gauge terminals in. I was shocked at how thick and huge they are. Here are pix, side by side with the old crimp terminals.

Here is the chassis to to battery ground.
Here is the battery to fuse box.
Here is alternator to battery.
This last picture was the hardest. I actually had to make the hole bigger. The hole on the terminals is 5/16 but the bolt is 3/8. I decided to go to Home Depot and it seems they have replaced almost all employees with new employees that actually help and know what they are talking about. I was looking at drill bits and next thing you know I hear a small little voice behind me asking if I need help. I turn around and its this little tiny girl. I asked what bit I can use, and next thing you know shes schooling me on titanium and carbon fiber bits and that i should use this specific bit. It was kind of a turn on to be schooled by a hot girl that doesnt look like she knows what she is talking about. I told her that too, and she started to blush. Then I asked her to give me back my terminal, lol. I will say she was right, the bit cut through the terminal like nothing.
Now all of the cheap terminals have been replaced, except the ones on the battery terminals. I cant change them till I get the new battery terminals.
It was very hot, so hot I decided to run both A/C units full blast. As I am driving to Walgreens, I notice something. My A/C system is no longer pausing when I turn on a blinker or what not. So I guess it was the cr@ppy terminals the whole time.
------------------------
On a side note, I decided to treat myself to some gifts. Right now all my money is going to bills and the Car PC. Another thing I do is collect certain Namco Games. The titles are "Ridge Racer" (which is what my car is being based on) "Tekken" and "Soul Calibur". I have every last Ridge Racer for every system, except for the N64, it sucked so bad and hardcore Ridge Racer fans do not consider it a part of the series. I also have every Tekken for all systems (Tekken 6 is coming out for Xbox 360 and PS3, I have to buy both.). I was missing 2 of the Soul Calibur titles though, which is Soul Calibur 4 for Xbox 360 and PS3. I sold my old car speakers so I decided to buy both titles. They have been out for a while, so they were cheap. I got the Xbox 360 version for $26.00 brand new, and the PS3 version for $24.00 brand new. I cant wait to get them in and create my custom player. As for Tekken, I am waiting for it to come out also, but I will most likely do like I did with Soul Calibur and wait till its been out for a long time then buy it when its cheap.

I have been trying to get the wiring set. Yesterday I changed it so the chassis/fuse box ground was on a ring terminal, then connected to the ground bolt. The car started to do the same pausing thing with the A/C so I put it back the way I did it the first time. I guess the new chassis to battery ground will be on the ring terminal, since its an overkill item. "thewizard" also opened my eyes to moving the ground for the PC to one of the bolts on the passenger seat. It connects to a plate that then connects to the chassis. The rear ground will be on a bolt that connects to the chassis and bumper. The front will most likely be connected to the radiator bolt.

As everyone knows, I use Centrafuse. Always have and always will. One thing though is that Flux was unable to switch the cr@ppy Destinator engine, due to issues finding a company that will work with them. I was thinking of going to iGuidance which is $89.99, but now Bxsteez has turned me on to Garmin Mobile PC software. Its only $59.99 and it has a ton more features, including online traffic (something I like) not sure if the PC version has it, but the smartphone version does, and it interfaces with CF perfectly. It turns down the music when voice prompts are announced and so much more. I will now be going to GMPC.

I've used GMPC for over a year, and it does a very good job of route guidance. The software-only version is usually available for about $50 on the web. There's no registration program for the software-only version, so there are no map updates available. That means we have to buy it each year to get the new maps.
I also use Microsoft Streets and Trips for planning purposes. That's about $25 on the web, and it provides vastly better detail than GMPC. I haven't upgraded to S&T 2009; that's on Hold until the carPC is complete. Then I plan to do some research into open-source mapping, as well.

Really? No map updates.... I havent seen that mentioned, or should I say Bxsteez didnt mention it. He did say he updated to the 2010 maps, but he didnt say if he had to pay. I just want something that works. iG has failed me, Destinator has failed me too. Garmin has been around a long time and the fact they update maps faster makes it worth it.

Bxsteez may have the GMPC with GPS10 or GPS20 head; you can register the hardware, so you can get updates for them. But the updates are more expensive than just buying a new software-only version. The difference is that, with the registered GPS head, you get notification as soon as the updates are available.
I'm using GMPC with a Pharos head that came with Streets & Trips. Any NMEA head is fine.

I haven't played with it in a while, but there used to be issues getting GMPC to embed into Centrafuse. iGuidance embeds in without any issues.

They have fixed all those issues. Now GMPC embeds better and works with CF alot better too. When the Garmin talks, CF actually turns the volume down. Here is the link: http://forums.fluxmedia.net/plugin-d...-dev-beta.html

Yea, I saw that thread yesterday after I had posted. I like that they took the time to add an OSK since that's probably my biggest annoyance with GMPC.

There is a new software out called navmii. In October they will be in America, or should I say have American maps. It also has a friend finder feature. I am going to give them a try.

The rear center console has plagued me for god knows how long, with me basically giving up on the project. I just simply do not have the patience to do it myself. Then I started to think, maybe I can buy a universal one and mod it to what I need. I am looking at 2 right now:
The first matches perfect, but I would have to have a gap again in the middle unless I make a special cover to bridge the front and back.
The second one would be long enough to fill the whole gap, but looks a bit odd, and I would have to have it recovered... not that bad.
This last one will also work, but I do not feel it matches my interior at all.
What do you guys think I should do? I like number one!

You're the one who has to live with it. Go with your gut. If the first one appeals to you, there's your answer.
Why would a gap be a problem?

Here is a pic of the middle area..... I could try to run it under the carpet but maintenance would be a b!+ch. I think I will make a bridge.
