The measurements for the console are 29" L x 14" H x 9" W. I took a tape measure and the first one will fit perfectly. I do not know why I never thought of this before, lol. With the money I spent on the first 3 attempts, I could have bought 2 of these, lol. The console is made for vans that have nothing in between the seats, so this one is nice because its deep. I am hoping this will be easy to mod at the bottom. If not I can make a base for it to attach to.

Well yesterday I ordered one set of speakers. I figured each pay day I'll buy a set until I have them all. With the way things are going I cant save up and buy all at once. I ordered the front speakers so that I can reinstall all my controls for passenger and driver. i am so tired of not being able to open my windows and lock my doors (I have to use the key remote to lock/unlock).Tomorrow I am going to go ahead and start planning out the cables, like what color goes to what and +/- for speakers, then solder all the connections. i want this all ready to go.

OK, I wanted to post the pictures of the wiring updated with the new in-line fuses. They work way better then the lightning audio fuse holder. I guess it all depends on the metal used. Here are pix. I still need to run a engine to chassis line and the second battery to chassis line, then I'll be done. Since I am almost done, I am taking a break from the electrical so I can work on the interior again.

I want to start wiring all the new connections. The front speakers are coming next week, once that is done I can put the panels in permanently or should I say back to factory. I bought some Bondo Glazing and Spot Putty to fill in a extra hole I had made. Its very easy to use and sand. I actually did a good job covering it up. I also found the exact interior paint color, which turns out is Universal Flat Black. It matches 100%. Here are pix of that.

Once everything is close to finished, I may go over all black panels with this paint.
As far as my console goes, I will be going with the first one.
It matches my interior perfectly, and also fits measurement wise. i do feel kind of bad that I gave up, but I have never been good at fabrication. Sometimes there are people that are made for fabrication, and others that have to pay others and or buy the items. Guess which one I am, lol. I will have to have a gap in between the consoles again, but I think a false floor will help to cover all the wires up. I read the console description and it looks like it will need modification. The top compartment is small, its big enough to hold CD cases, so that one is OK. The second compartment though goes all the way to the ground, so I will have to cut the bottom out and make it a medium size also. Basically I have to make it all level so the PC will have room. I also have to add a USB panel for all the ports. I also have to add the ventilation holes for the fans. Thankfully the console is only $57.00 with free shipping, so if I mess it up, I wont be mad and can simply buy a new one. I am thankful I found it, it meets all my specification.
The rear area, I am going to build a box out of light weight material, very thin, and can accommodate several fans to pull air in and out. Then going to cover it with matching vinyl that matches my interior perfectly. I may also have to recover the new center console arm rests if they are not the same texture. I have a feeling though they used the same vinyl.

HOW YOU BEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN *BIG HUG*. WOW, haven't seen you on here in a bit, I hope everything is fine with you. It is madness, it has me so stressed out. I bit off way more then I can chew, but it is starting to come into focus. My main hurdle is the center console, I wish I would have thought of buying one last time, I didn't think they made them so big, but I guess thank god for vans, which is what its made for.
As for the cable upgrade, I would have thought that was the first things you would upgrade?! I didn't do it first because I'm a newb and didn't know about it. I'm sure with your car though it will not be as bad to do. I still have to buy about 30 feet of that same thick cable and run it to the back of the car. I am thinking of running it through my Chassis so it isn't exposed to the elements.
The money tree on mine is almost dead, lol... Once in awhile a few leaves grow and as soon as they do, I pluck them off right away and into the car it goes. I plan on buying some Dynamax 660 and seeing if I cant do some fabrication work on some pieces myself. The armrest has me thinking I should be able to handle small projects, its the big stuff like my dash top screens and side mirrors that has me needing to go to a professional (Nexson).
Anyways, hope you manage to get your project going again!

OOPS, I mean Dynatron 660, LMFAO. Its like Bondo, but I think it hardens like plastic?
As far as the cables, I ran my audio through the floor, but all the VGA, USB and Ethernet is through the roof. I do eventually plan on upgrading the alternator, but as of now, I want to work on the inside again.

That's the advantage of having ADD: as long as we have a bunch of project areas to switch among, we're never bored, and we stay out of trouble because we're always working on something.

That is true.... the main reason though is because i am so tired of driving without an interior, lol.

I I/Med Cabe Sipes on what to do with those dash top screens and he gave me a few ideas and he made the light bulb click on what I have to do. I also have to start work on a few key pieces that need repairing. I am so ready to put my dash back on now. Everyone keeps looking in my car because it looks like its been robbed and its getting old. I also decided to change my design route for my truck. I wanted to originally make it look like a Ridge Racer Car, but my heart is really set on having a American Muscle looking car. Here is a photo on how I want mine;

Only difference is that mine will be silver, with the stripes being flat black. I also decided to shave all the door handles off, for a nice clean look. Turns out its very easy to do. Install solenoids to unlatch the doors and door poppers to pop them forward. The rear hatch is the way, but I am also looking into making it a power liftgate system.
I ordered the new center console. I figure the best thing to do is move my echo cancel card to the middle of the PC, instead of on the floor and going through the issue of running everything under the carpet. Its a PITA but will look professional. I am going to start on that today and see how it turns out.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, the worst 4 hours of my life. I decided to work on running the cables under the carpet. I was going to make a false floor, but felt it would not be professional. I had to take the front console out, something I was not happy with. I then moved the echo cancel card to the back of the PC. It all fits very nicely. I decided to upgrade the power wires to 8 gauge. Its also better quality. To fish the wire through I had to use a clothes hanger and it was so hard because under the carpet is this rubber foam $h!+ that made it so hard. The wire would rub then stick to the foam. I finally got all wires through and quit for the day. Tomorrow I will work on separating power from other stuff under the carpet. Right now its all laying on top of each other. I do not want anyone to know anything is running there. I'm glad I went this route, its going to look so professional!
Here is in front of the PC:

Here is the floor and the wires I still have to fish into the first console:

This picture kind of reminds me of the shape of the HHR, which isn't a bad thing as I like the overall shape of them.
You have to love wiring lol I'm getting ready to do more on my Blazer

NOOOOOOOO, it looks more aggressive then a HHR. But I see what you mean.
Next time if I ever get a new car (doubtful) I will take the whole d@mn interior out. Its so hard to work with when everything is there. I am glad I took out the whole back half of the car, because all the wires would have been a nightmare.

Not to be picky (since EVERYBODY calls me by the wrong name) but its Cabe not Cade. All I can say is if your married your wife hates you by now. If your not married.........DONT! At least not until the car is done or you will never finish it.
By the way, I may have found a car for my build.......guess what it is.........1999 Dodge Durango!!!!! I may go get it tomorrow. I will let you know.

OPPS, updated, sorry.
You cant do that and get the same car. Then I'll have literal competition!!!!!!!!!!! If I were you though, I'd go for a 2001 and up, only because the interior is better to work with. The 98 to 2000 had that weird interior that is so hard to work with, especially when it comes to the dash. Also the center console is smaller. If I had competition that would drive me to finish faster. I seem to always finish when challenged!
