Here's some day pics:

They aren't as bright in full sun than I thought, but they acheived the look I was going for.

(GIF above, shows on and off...)

I wired this from the battery to a fuse to a relay (on seperately switched ign) to ground. This way, when I turn the car on, I can flip the switch, and they light up, when I turn the car off the lights turn off as well (no dead batteries) and I can choose to turn them on and off (oil change, etc.) These suckers are bright, but pointed mostly towards the road, so they shouldn't cause issues for drivers ahead of me, but they don't seem to add any visibility, but I haven't road tested them yet. They are definitely worth doing, and it was fairly easy to install.

I bought the SLT version so it came fog lights. If I leave the fog lights on, it turns them off if I leave them on when the car is off to long. Cool thing is that yours dont also turn on the parking lights. With mine I have to turn on the parking lights before I can turn on the fog lights. I cant wait to see the better pictures, but if they are that dim, then thats why Audi went with the big ones. It looks good in the daytime, infact its bearly noticable.

I think they look nice. Where did you order those from?

I got these from ebay, just search for "LED Strips" and you'll find them. They run about $7 with shipping for the most part. So, I got 4 for $24 (2 white, 2 yellow)

There's something the camera isn't capturing about these that you just have to see in person. I might see about using a different camera or a different setting on my camera to see if I can capture it, but they look a lot better than the pics above. (the day pic shows placement and everything, but doesn't show the brightness right...)

Here's some dusk pics, with the car in the shade, this might show the brightness a little better...

And by the way, the A4 parked next to me is my GF's Audi.

Next to be done:

Install the P2140 (as soon as it gets here) and the touchpanel, whenever that finally shows up. I guess there was a delay in customs or something that help up the shipment, and Dynamix doesn't have any in yet, so, I still have to wait.

I want to say thanks to all that have sent me all the nice comments on my install, and it's definitely nice to be noticed and acknowledged on the home page. It was some good hard work, and I'm glad it came out the way that it did. I hope it has inspired others to get their hands dirty and get started on their projects. As long as you take your time to plan it all out, and understand it will probably take longer than you expect to complete.

The best part though, is that there is this great community here for support with questions and pictures of what others have done.

Again, Thanks for the nice comments on my project.

Thanks, I thought the same thing when my Mom bought hers. To me it was a typical mom car. Then when I bought this, I saw the potential in it, and started making it my own. There's still a whole lot that I want to do with this, but it's a matter of having time and money, as well as proper equipment to do some of the things I want to do.

I got my P2140 in, and I hope to have it installed by the end of the week. I bought the wrong type of fuse/holder, so as soon as I get the right one, I'll start on installing it all.

I also need to get a dpdt switch so that I can use it as a valet switch.

Position 1 - PSU on, Remote Start On
Position 2 - Both off, valet position
Position 3 - PSU off, Remote Start On

I don't have the remote start yet, but I think I'll get that before the big snow starts to fall. I will probably just get a basic one, and instead of wiring the door lock/unlock to the doors (since it's already on the chrysler remote) I plan on wiring that to the PSU pulse wire, so I can start the computer remotely.

Any reason why you want to start the computer remotely?

Dont you just hook it up to acc, and when you fire the car, the car pc fires up as well? Otherwise if you are not careful, and remote start it, and forget about it, you could very well end up with a dead battery

Convenience, to skip the hibernate resume. Honestly, I probably won't use it that much, but it's one wire to hook up to do this.

That's the point of the PSU, it will cut off when the car shut's off (20 minutes after actually, so if I get gas or something, the PC doesn't shut off) in normal operation it will:

Car ignition - resume from hibernate.
Ignition off, door opens - after 20 minutes hibernate.
48 hours of not powering on - computer will shut down safely.

All of this is programmable with the PSU. If I do use the pulse start, it will still do this but instead of triggering with the ignition, it will trigger with the remote.

Also, if I do use remote start, I want to start the computer when I want it, rather than when the engine is warming up. Another reason the remote is a good idea.

I got the PSU mostly installed, but I had the wires on the screen crossed when I installed it, and I think I might have fried something. I guess I should have checked the output with a voltmeter first. Everything is straight now, but I need to take the screen out and see if I can see something that is smoked.

I ended up just getting a DPST (even though it said DPDT) switch so that it's just normal or valet mode.

Still more work, but I had to come inside and take a break, I'll hopefully get the screen out and diagnosed tomorrow. (BTW, still waiting on the touch panel...)
