It's an 07. I was panning to use the manual to locate the RGB and composite sync wires.

What year is it? I only got links for the 04 and for the 05 QX56. You may want to check it out the av.pdf (audio/video) files below, and the ip.pdf (Instrument panel), rf.pdf (roof/headliner) etc.
2004
2005
I'm not sure who put it online, but it's there!
Did the QX changed much over the years? I'm not sure, you tell me if it helps.

Oh, I saw it just now it's an 07, your post was on the last page. But you might want to take a look anyway, I think the A/V only changed for 2008 (touchscreen, HardDrive based NAV, etc.)

on the fx it's a box on the right side of the dash, above the glovebox, not too hard to get at. I had to extend these wires to move the screen... if this interface works with the nissan sync it would be awesome... with the right video card it could be run in a window on the pc screen, may even be able to embed it in a front end... have a button on your skin for oe interface like a rearview camera input would be...very possible & cool... even as just a switched input it's sweet though...

I would like to use the stock screen in my 2007 g35x. I have already installed a touchscreen kit on it. My only complaint so far is the fact the only way to put a computer on the stock display is with the aux in.
I just had a look at the service manual. Is it the Red, Green and Blue signal circuits that I am looking for? There is also a RGB sync, RGB area YS (dont know what that is) and horz/vert sync circuits.
Are you saying these are CGA signals that need to be converted to VGA to go to a lcd monitor? And all I need to do is tap them ... make a franken cable and hook them to a converter?
Good luck this weekend!

Sorry guys i never got a chance to test the adapter on the QX. Let me know if you want me to send you the RGB converter to test out on your cars.

The offer was very classy of you, Kalt, thanks!
I would love to see it done, but I think Turbocad is the one to do it. If he can't make it work, nobody else can!
