i had some spare time and started again on some things in my car bought a nice 10.2 inch mirror screen on ebay but thos ****ty customs got my package and charged me 50€ extra
ah well its still cheaper then to buy it here in the netherlands

the wifi antenna i got is not really good the magnet is to weak
if i drove 50 km/h or faster it blows of the roof
so i used an old cbradio antenna magnet that's much stronger

when it was done i noticed the wire was not connected anymore so i had to redo everything :S
still got some sanding to do and use filler and some paint

i connected my dvb-t reciever and the new screen mirror

HMMMMM, that screens looks familiar, lol..... Looks nice, but i cant believe your going to use it for TV. I used mine for my car mirrors. Infact after debating back and fourth, Ive decided I am going to delete my side mirrors, I am going 100% camera. Im going to order the part you forwarded to me, I tried to talk them down on the price and they made me feel bad. They claimed its the lowest price they can give and that they have to pay their employees for packing it and pay for a bunch of other stuff like talking it to the post office.... So $97.00 dollars it is, lol. Im just worried that its going to take long. I ordered a USB touchscreen controller and it was sent out on the 8th of December, that came from China. I also ordered a monotstable switch from the UK, still havent seen that either.

"idea stolen from hijack" the screen then

there are 2 ports on it video 1 and video 2
vid 1 is now the tv
vid 2 is going to be the reverse cam

about the ordering, i orderd this screen from hongkong
monday it was send and tuesday it arrived here @ my home
so super fast, its even faster then local mail company's here

and that about the cam thats a wonderful idea i like it but dont think its something for me. got so many cables allready in the car, and i got a small car
allready glad this fitted in :P

OMG, i have to warn you though... for the reverse cam you have to use the negative out put of the reverse bulb. If you use the 12v+ of the bulb you will fry the chip and it will not switch automatically anymore. Because my instructions were in taiwan, i guessed and guessed wrong.

anyways, did ya replace stock aerial antenna base with the wifi antenna that ya bought? do ya have any pictures for the process and the finished products?

Probably a really dumb question is the rear veiw mirror actually a mirror finish when its off, i.e can u use it as a mirror without it being connected to the camera?

you mean if its reflective ?
yeah it is reflective not really good but in day light you see well everything
but when its dark its harder to see things, and i got also a tinted rearwindows
so that also dont really improve the sight

What he said.... during the day you see fine. At night though you would only see if someone has lights on or something reflective. They do make versions with a silver background, but they are not as big as this one.
