The Turtle's still in the shop... I've been working on the CarPC off and on. I start on Saul's TruckPC this week. I'll keep you all posted.

Turtle's still in the shop, I ordered some upgraded RAM and faster fans. I'm also looking at ordering the BU-353 from the MP3Car.com Store. What do you guys think about it? Or rather, what GPS receiver(weather-proof) do you recommend?
Also, I'm looking for a way to power my in-dash 7-port USB hub(I'm using two of the 7 right now for Bluetooth and touchscreen). Any recommendations there?

The BU-353 is the GPS that 99.9% of all of us use, so you cant go wrong, lol. Some people do mount the unit on the roof, but me, I simply have mine mounted ontop of my rear A/C system next to the window. Seems to work just the same. Since your PC isnt that far from the front dash, simply run wires off the 5V rail of the OPUS. I dont know if you OPUS has the bug mine has, but my PC will not boot up if I power it that way, but i think its because I have to many things on the 5V rail already. I had to buy a seperate OPUS 15W PSU that powers one hub and the echo cancel in the front. The a M4 in the back will power all the 5V devices in the back.

The 5V line from the OPUS... what AWG should I use? It'll be about 6-8 feet from the OPUS to the hub.

If all your going to use it for is the hub, then something like 22 - 26 AWG should be fine. What I did is I took the USB HUBs original wall adpater plug, cut the brick off and used the cord to connect to the 5V rail.

Ok, so 16 AWG would work? That's all I have around the house... Should I fuse it?

No fuse needed.... Just make sure you get the polarity correct, other wise you'll brick your HUB.

Which computer case did you end up with? I've looked through your build process a couple times now for tips and I can't remember and/or find it.

The Turtle's out of the shop! W00T! I got the CarPC reinstalled, fired it up, and got a BSOD... turns out I didn't fit the new RAM stick correctly, it was sticking out of the slot a little. I felt so stupid, I ripped everything apart trying to figure out WTF the problem was before I even considered the hardware to be an issue. Usually that's the first thing I look for... I had to order a new WiFi antenna, I broke the other one I had, but I picked up a 7 DBI antenna from eBay user states.electronics for $2.45 (that's with shipping). I ordered LED bulbs for my taillights too. I kinda went on an eBay spree a couple weeks ago. I got bored during my "Career Exploration" class at ENMU-R...

I ended up using rdholtz's old case, modified it a little to make it fit, but my motherboard fit perfect.

Went and washed the Turtle (and the engine bay ) this afternoon after church, it looked WAY better. Then I went home, waxed it, did the windows, and then I started looking at the bumpers... At the car wash, the rubber bumpers got wet(obviously) and they absorbed every drop of water that hit leaving dark spots in random places and making it look like holy crap. :@ So I grabbed the silicone spray(for the tires) and started working away on the bumpers. Thus far, I have succeeded in making thing 100x worse... :@ Gonna see if I can borrow a friend's buffing wheel to fix it with tomorrow...

I uploaded the pix to Flickr, but I'm in class without access to a PC. I'm on my iPhone. I'll post the pix later.
I did all that, and it rained last night!
