And I'd bet you should still brace the insides of the styrofoam, or the Tuff Stuff will bow the sides in.

Agreed. Brace the insides until it's dry, anyway...

Yeah, when you try to use it, the braces get in the way. . .

Would it be safe to paint the *foams once it's all dry? Spray paint? Cause I've heard things about chemicals from the paint leaking into whatever is in there, but I wanna be sure.

Xygar is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't know about the kind of foam you're planning on using, but I've heard spray paint has bad side affects on some foams (eg styrofoam... which it more or less eats through). So if you plan on using spray paint, I'd for sure try it on a small test piece first , or get someone's opinion who is more intelligent than I

I'd imagine other types of paint would be more suitable (though perhaps more difficult to work with?)

Krylon Fusion is a well-accepted plastic paint, and I don't think it will have any negative effect on urethane, which is what I believe Tuff Stuff is. You might look it up online and see if they have painting recommendations. In fact, I think Tuff Stuff suggests a paint coat if it's going to be in the sun, because it isn't very UV-resistant.

I am uploading the pix now, but in doing everything, I broke a lead off my Peliter. I just ordered another, should be in late next week.

Pix/Problems/FrontEnds?

Pix:

Here are pix of the glovebo... er, mini-fridge. Minus the Peltier, of course.
I hit the outer plastic with a few coats of the paint to hide the scratches I filled in.

The inside, used rdholtz's recommendation on the Krylon Fusion.

I'm just waiting for the new Peltier to come in.

Problems:

I did something, and now I have an exhaust leak. It sounds like the exhaust manifold when I pop the hood...

FrontEnds:

I have been thinking, maybe it's time to go back to RR, it's a lot more flexible than CF is... So, I think since I have the system out to setup HORM and EWF, I may just throw RR on there and see what I can do. I kinda miss DigitalFX 4.0 from my 1st assembly...(cardboard box... )

Well, I have a new frontend. RR is back! I got tired of CF's simplicity and decided to go back to what I started with in the beginning. I'm gonna talk to Saul today and see what he thinks is wrong with the car. Got a few WinAmp problems to sort out now, then I'm gonna do a road test...

EDIT: Before you all start telling me... Yes, I don't sleep much. At least, not on weekends, anyway...

EWWWWWWWWWW you traitor, how dare you!!!!!!!!!! Why would you want complication! Anyways u'll be back when CF3 comes out, its sooooooo amazing, the skinning engine is uber nice. Also CF3 has a $h!+ load of new features coming out also. Mainly being enhanced dual zone audio and video.

PS: You did give me hope on the repainting of my interior. With all the MODS I am doing and have done, I have alot of scratches and wear, so maybe just painting them will fix it.

I didn't "just paint" them. I filled them in with a little fiberglass jelly. I put a dab on the scratch and filled it, then wiped the excess off so it was just in the scratch. After it dried, I hit it with some of the leftover paint I had from the mini-fridge. I don't have pix tho. Sorry.

Just a little:

Aw, don't be so hard on him. This is an easy option to do -- all it takes is time, time, time. I left RR for CF because I'd rather tweak hardware than software, and CF is wonderfully automatic. For me, it's pretty flexible, too.

But he wants to tweak. So he can go play in RR, because -- except for donations to the authors of RR and its many add-ons -- it's free. He can come back any time . . .

Any idea when CF3 hits the streets?

I'm just biding my time until CF3 comes out. I'm looking forward to the improved BT stack I've heard so much about. Too bad RR doesn't have a BT option I'm willing to work with... I may stay there fir good if there was... Nah! CF is easy on the eyes(and brain ) I'm just waiting...

Just a little:

I'm going to have to get some of that. I have lots of scratches and dings.

Well they haven't started BETA testing yet, but I have to estimate maybe the end of Summer, depending on how the testing goes. Flux doesn't want to release a incomplete software that need updating right away with features that should work.

The improved stack is already out. That was update 2.2. So many people complained that FLUX had to come out with that release before CF 3. What FLUX did is scrap their custom BlueSoliel stack and instead rewrote a .dll file that allows users to use the BT Stack directly from the IVT website, which is being updated constantly. The delay is gone, echo is gone via hardware, and some iPhone users can port their contacts, no other people have tried so its not confirmed. Also you can buy CF2 and only pay a fair update fee to go to CF3.
