As per rdholtz recommendation, I got a Morex 2699 with a 60W PSU, but I need more than that so I am gonna add my 400W ATX PSU to it somehow. I'm just waiting now...

Spoke with Lilliput today and the EBY701 is on it's way back. Apperantly some connections inside came loose during shipping or something... IDK, but I'm gonna have a screen either way! Right now, I've got my XMPCR installed in my room on my laptop. I'm gonna try it out on my Windows 7 machine, then I'm gonna throw Windows & at my CarPC and see how it'll handle it(secondary HD of course... ). Maybe this weekend, I'll have preliminary setup/install pix up. I may post pix of the Windows 7 install, too. It depends on how much time I have between now and then...

I got my Morex case in. I had to order a slim-line heatsink and fan but they should be here by tomorrow (2-13-09). I still haven't got my EBY701 back... I'm getting a little impatient with them because two weeks ago I was told that I would have it by the end of the week... If it isn't in today when I get home from school, I'm gonna call and see what's up.

Is this off a ebay seller or direct from factory? I ordered all 4 of my Lilliputs from Sharpton, they are amazing with customer service. Two of the screens I got from them had a dead pixel and they exchanged then right away. Took about 3 days for them to get, then send back to me, so 6 days total.
As far as Windows 7, i wouldn't bother. Some people have managed to get it to work, but others (including me) are having so many issues, and this is on a desktop PC, my media center to be exact. I am having major driver issues, that now I cant see an image, its all garbled up. I would stay with Win XP till W7 has a final release. Plus alot of the Front Ends are not 100% compatible.

I was dealing with the manufacturer. I did get it in today. I too bought my EBY701 from sharpton, he ships stuff out really fast!I'm just in the process of getting the drivers installed, as I don't have a CD drive on my CarPC(I need to name it...) I'm copying the files over to my flash drive, then I'm gonna install it and see what happens. Win7 doesn't like 'em... Other than that, I've had no problems getting things to work with it, even RR works! Just set it to run with Windows XP SP2 compatibility and Admin privilges(sp?).

Got BT working. There's another problem now... my CPU fan burnt up, so I ordered a silim-line fan for my Morex but it doesn't move enough air to keep the CPU from overheating... I've been running stress tests on it in different settings to see what will keep it from overheating. If I cut a spot for the fan in the top and put a grille over it, (in theory) that should keep it cool enough.

OK, haven't got around to cutting the vent for the CPU yet, so I'm running it without the cover on. But now another problem has arisen. Sometimes the PC boots fine. Other times, I either get a POST freeze or a black screen. Also, I can't use hibernate anymore(freezes, then reboots after a minute or two with "Delete restoration data and continue with system boot, or continue with resume or something like that. Any ideas? I've tried the whole reseat cables, unplug USB devices and PCI cards thing and it still acts up...

It could be that the over heating took the processor or ram with it. Try a different RAM stick, and if nothing, maybe try another processor. My bet is the RAM is fried and need to be replaced.

I'll hook up my CD/DVD drive today when I get home from school and run Memtest86+ to test the RAM. If it checks out ok, I'll stress-test the processor, but IDK if that will tell me anything about the processor though. If it's the processor, it's not much of a loss. I had that processor laying arouond for a while. I'll just check eBay for another.

Once you have a established setup, its easy to find parts. When I bought my AMD Turion 1.8ghz< i did it when they were fairly new, but paid $100.00. I then killed it about 6 months later and replaced it with a 1.9ghz version for $45.00.

If only I could look at eBay from school... Most stuff is blocked, I'm actually surprised they haven't blocked this website, too. But, I have looked at what's listed on Google Shopping, and it appears as though I can pick one up for about $45. I want one identical to mine(Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz with HyperThreading Prescott) and some more thermal paste, but IDK if it's my processor yet....

Well, it cost $50, but I got it done. memtest86+ showed the RAM was OK, so I got on eBay and got something close to what I had. Mine was an Intel Pentium 4 with HyperThreading 3.2Ghz/1Mb cache/800Mhz FSB. What I found was an Intel Pentium 4 with HyperThreading 3.2Ghz/512Kb Cache/800Mhz FSB. I don't think there will be much of a difference, but we'll see. [advertisement]I also got some Arctic Silver thermal compound this time. I used it on a friend's gaming PC I helped him build, it kicked @$$ compared to the other stuff! [/advertisement] LOL
On the plus side of things, I'm trying out Centrafuse. I love how I can actually connect my iPhone to it through BlueTooth. I also love the smoothness(is that even a word?) of the UI. I love RoadRunner(RideRunner) too, but it's a little harder to manage and setup. (Now if I could just find a Tercel or a Toyota skin for it... )

Reason: added note on thermal compound
