Got BT to work. Just having issues importing contacts. That's not a big deal, since I have the important numbers memorized anyway.

I'm making trips to junkyards tomorrow with my dad. He needs the chrome piece that goes around the outside of the windshield on his '68 Plymouth Valiant Signet, (If anyone reading knows where one is, PM me, PLZ!!!) I'm going for another glove box(I've hacked this other one up and idk if it's gonna work...) and clips. I've managed to break all the clips on my floor panels on the driver's side, and when I had the seals replaced, the guy that did it broke one of the clips that held the screw to the driver's side headlight, so now my headlight dangles at times...
RDholtz and HiJack have given me ideas again...
RDholtz: The whole AUX battery thing? I'm thinking of doing that too.
HiJack: upgrading the "Big 3?" I see that coming, with the possibility of a higher-output alternator so I have room to grow.

I just did some late-night Googling... I did some looking into the Chill ZoneŽ that Dodge is putting in the Calibers. It uses an A/C vent to cool the compartment rather than the Peltier I was trying to use. I have added a new glove box to my list of items to search for at the junkyard tomorrow. I will try to stop at Starbucks to post my findings,, but with dad driving...

OH how easy it is to put ideas into the minds of young people, lol. I will say that before you invest in a new alternator, simply upgrade the "Big 3" and see how your car runs, electrical wise. "thewizard", which runs the same engine as me, says that simply upgrading the "Big 3" was enough for the car to run with his massive audio setup. My setup isnt near as big as his, audio wise, so my alternator may do the job. If I still feel my car acting up, then the new alternator is on the way. Before you change anything, research were all the "Big 3" points are then make a plan on how your going to do them. Alot of times they ravel other wires in the split loom with the "Big 3", which usually go to sensors that are vital for running the engine correctly. Make sure you fuse the alternator line, if you dont, this will happen.
Also make sure you get good terminals for the new wires. Im going for high quality terminals the you slide the wire into and then screw. I think the most expensive thing is going to be the ANL fuse holder and fuse.

I kind of thought it would be, as Chrysler loves to install multiple A/C units in cars. My car has a 3 Zone A/C system. One for the driver, one for the passenger, then one for the rear.

I got the clips I needed, and the wrong glovebox(grrr...), but I did get the original box back in shape. Plastic welding FTW! I need to do some more research about the Chill ZoneŽ system and determine the best way of applying it to my case... Also, anyone need a glovebox for a 1996 Toyota Paseo(or compatible)?

Bluetooth possibilities?
Now that I have my Bluetooth working(FINALLY! ), I've been thinking about the possibility of having two phones, the same number, one to carry and one to have in the car at all times. Unfortunately, the only way to do it is to convince my GSM cell phone carrier to clone my SIM, which they won't do. It's illegal to do myself(as far as I've been told, anyway), so I've killed that idea. If there is any life to be breathed back into it, I'd appreciate it.

If you really want a personal phone in the car, you could get internet in your car and buy a Magic Jack. Im thinking about it, so they can just dail from the car. Thing is, like pretty much everyone has a cell phone now a days.

No companies here provide mobile broadband for a reasonable price. Plus the reviews I've read on the MagicJack have been less than good, so I'm kinda leery...

Yeah, the MagicJack concept sounds really good, and I've thought about trying one. I have no experience with it myself, but I've heard reports that some users simply can't get a line reliably, or that their calls get dropped frequently. Sounds like the infrastructure builders may not be keeping pace with the marketing group.

It could also be these are people with $h!++y internet connections in the first place. Alot of people dont understand that these types of phone services need a good connection. My little brother had Vonage and complained all the time. Turns out the connection issues were from his massive server downloading 24/7 and major uploads (which magic jack and vonage rely on).

At home I have 256k down and around 80k up, but part of that is due to the fact that our landline is digital. Our phone and Internet run on the same line. Tv, Internet and phone are all from the same company, so we have VoIP, just not a well known one. Lol

Well, like I mentioned in a previous post, this entire town runs off one single fiber optic line... I'm lucky to get 1MBPS at night, but that's because no one's really online(prime downloading time; too bad about TPB selling out... ).
