I'll have to give that a shot!

One thing I love about Newegg is their search features. I did a Power Search on the CD/DVD Drives. I checked the boxes on Slim Combo Drive Slim DVD Burner and just skimmed the titles 'til I found Slot. I am sure there are cheaper ones, but I've always had good experiences with Newegg.

Looking good so far. I am glad to see that your paying really close attention to detail. I made the mistake no too in the beginning and now I have to have a fabricator fix alot of parts that I damaged, interior wise. Keep up the good work.

Punky, I did not forget you on the timings. I upgraded my Flickr account last night (reached the 200 photo max) and now I can also upload videos. I'll upload them tonight and post 'em.

I feel like I'm just moving at a snail's pace with this. Once I get the touchscreen and run the cables this weekend it should move quite a bit faster.

awesome thanks for keeping it in mind, i dont need it super quick or anything, so take your time.
Please don't rush your install, its the worst thing you can do, take your time, and do it right the first time, and save yourself the headache of troubleshooting later.

Trust me, take your time..... Speed = mistakes, especially with a hobby like this with no blue prints to go from. Just take your time. Thats what I am doing now. PC install 1 & 2 were bad. So many issues from rushing. Install number 3 started out bad, but then I realized my errors and started to go slow. Although my system has jumped up in size now, I am still taking my time. I dont expect to finish until 2 years from now, and this project has been going for 2.

Punky here are the videos. Keep in mind, recorded with my cell phone but at least it'll get you an idea.

Shutdown Time
Bootup Time
Standby Time
Resume Time

Also something I noticed tonight was that for some reason the CPU fan keeps spinning after Windows has shut down. I must have changed some setting in the BIOS so I've got some looking to do on that one. I have to hold the power button down to get the computer OFF.

awesome thanks for taking the time to do so.
I'm almost sure ur hibernation is not s4 hibernation, there's no way its that fast, which explain why your fan is spinning, you must be on s1 or s2 mode.
Generally you should see the resume status bar when ur hibernating in S4 mode.

I'll have to double check. The fan spins when the computer is told to shut down. I don't recall whether it does it in hibernation.

Taken with cell phone camera

What kind of power connection is that? It doesn't say in the description on Newegg's site, I should've looked closer at the pictures.

Any help appreciated. I'm googling but not finding anything helpful.

It is on S1, and there is no option to change it to S4.
