2001 Audi TT Roadster
So I just started to finally get what i think might be my system in place. I started out thinking I would use my Windows Mobile Phone and after trying that I realized I wanted a little more.
Heres my plan by phases.
Phase 1 - - Xenarc 705TSV mounted in dash
- Kenwood Excelon Single CD In Dash with Aux input
- Factory Amp
- BU-353 GPS Receiver(On its way)
- Garmin Mobile PC
- Old PC I have laying around(This part is still in debate)
- Either Centrafuse or RideRunner(I am not a programmer)
- Dell Keyboard/Trackball Combo Unit
- Power Inverter
- MyMobiler for connection to WM
- Internet Tethering for 3G from HTC Fuze
Phase 2 - - Visteon HD Radio
- Adding a DC to DC Power Supply
- Rear View Camera
I am sure I will come up with more but this is the start.
I would love to here some feedback..

How you like you fuze? I love mine. good luck with your keyboard though... Mine went out on me few weeks ago, really sucks, and from what I read on ppcgeeks and xda its a common problem with the Raph...
I've done the HU route and I have gone back to a 4ch setup. I never used the cd player or the FM so it seemed like a waste of dash. How often do you ride with your top down? Might strike an issue with glare. I drive a 01 sport trac with 15% tint all around (expect windscreen) and I still get some glare. Just something else to think about. You might end up hating that keyboard/trackball combo. It looks a little large. (Could be the picture, nothing really to gauge it on.)
With the info you gave it sounds like your on the right track. Just Search, Search, and Search.
BTW, give that poor baby a bath... Front wheels look like you been riding the brakes like driving miss daisy...

The fuze has been great I am on my second one though. The home key started peeling off about a week after I got the first one. They replaced it and I have had great luck with it.
I thought about ditching the HU but I drive all day and in case I love the PC I wanted something. Plus I have a factory amp so it just makes it harder for step one. I just ordered the HD radio so I have a feeling the HU will end up obsolete also.
I drive with it down pretty often and glare is kinda bad if it is in direct sunlight It shanks for all the feedback and yeah she does need a back time has just not happened...Hopefully in the morning.

Version 2 has begun. Thanks for the DC guys alot of it got installed this past weekend. We were able to go from a laptop to the PC in the trunk with Centrafuse running in about 3 hours including cabling(and of course a little troubleshooting)
Thanks for the help guys.
I will update install pictures hopefully over the next couple days. Heres the basic schematic though.

Got the mad catz keyboard in. Nice little keyboard. Tried it on my test PC and it seems to work great and was recognized instantly. Hopefully it does the same in the car. The keyboard is about 3.5" x 2" and rechargeable via usb. One more accessory to run to keep the thing charged.
I know I owe all the guys from the DC meet some pics, I will try to take them this week. I put the cpu and all on a board in the back and moved the gps inside, but I still need to paint the board and secure everything.

Also looking forward to seeing what you do with the little LCD screen you were showing off. There's a whole lot of potential there.

Yes and No. The audio is working fine. I found out the motherboard wanted 2 jumpers to force the sound to the rear inputs instead of the front when it was in a case. The problem I am having is that sometimes the sound does not come back after it comes back from hibernate. I have to exit CF3 and come back in and then it works great.
Still need to clean up some of the wiring and put the rear panel back in but that is not critical for functionality
