Ford Ranger Truck rebuild UK based & sound system install

Welcome to my truck rebuild and computer install

For those that know me on the RideRunner forum , you will notice that my skin is of the same name , it was the truck that prompted me to build this skin.

Lucky for me I am a panel beater and sprayer , so all the work so far has been done by myself , no external help, also lucky is that i have a sound off stereo shop in my town , who was a 3 times class3 UK winner, so I have had alot off advice to the equipment I'm useing for the system.

The truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger UK spec, was a total right off when I brought Her, the front end was totally smashed in , so far i have now finished the exterior of the truck images below , this week as i'm off for holiday will be the computer and sound system install. I will be posting images and updating through out this week .

Body repairs

New front panel , Wings , Bonnet , complete front bumper , Tailgate , dents and scratches repaired down the sides,

Added chrome (bling)

Bull Bar , rear bumper , side steps , 2 x bars on sports lid

Reserved for sound system install progress , Updated all this week

To do before install of sound system

Cut back of cab behind rear seat and extend to fit sub box,
Plan monitor install
remove roof lining for easy access to run the wires,
Make new plinths (collars) for front components.
Embed tweaters into door mirror rear covers.
plan placement of 2nd battery in engine bay.
fit split charge isolator.

well as promised heres a small update of the system install.

What i'm trying to do is use the interiour as is , without having to make up or cut the dash in anyway , 1 reason i don't think i can give the finish i would like no matter how long i take, 2 if i have to be in a position to sell or remove the system from the truck for any reason, i have not screwed up any of the equipments houseing .

todays work includes

Fitted New Headunit Fujtsu Ten , which has 3 RCA outputs and 1 RCA AUX input. and all can be controlled separately . also from image below you can see the lilliput Backlit screen mounted (not totally sure that this will be its final home)

RCA output cables these are all connected to the headunit awaiting for channeling under the carpet to the amp.

Embeded the tweaters into the rear door mirror covers and wired up the crossovers

finished the new collars for the mid-bass cones, and mounted

Offering Amp to the back of the cab to get and idea of room space, also started the box for the Sub, which will go through the back of the cab , extendong it by 3" which will allow the rear of the seat to fit back on its origanal mounts.

HD tuner being offered to its mounting point behind the clove box, and now wired up.
