anybody have any suggestions or opinions?
i'm looking at magnetic catches...whick might not be strong enough, and these

Did you decide on a catch? I am actually doing pretty much the same thing, and am considering a magnetic catch or something similar. Also... how difficult did you think the 3rd din was to install? Seems not too bad, just curious about your opinion. Thanks!

shizzle: yeah i made a mounting brack and just used 2 standard cabinat magnetic catches (hint, metal piece on the back of the lilliput is magnetic...so that cuts your work in half). I still need to post updated picks....since the bracket is all made. Me and Escalade182 made the brackout out of some wood, then I attempted to plasticoat it (didnt turn out great).....functionally it works really well....but I think Im gonna redo it with fiberglass. As for the 3rd din......it wasnt too bad....very time consuming, being that you have to take apart a lot of the interior....but all in all it wasnt that bad, the directions on handa-accessories.com's website were very helpful

DK888: not at all so far.......in fact I havent heard of any one saying that they've had issues with this as of yet.

Thumbs up

That's a really good solution for me. So do you keep the monitor behind the decoy when not in use, or do you take it out of the car when you get out? I'm definitely not leaving my Mac Mini in the car constantly, but I would be interested in the decoy technique for the lcd. Your opinion?

Thanks!

Peoples, considering I live in NY. Would the monitor shift much or at all if I hit a pot hole? Or does that stick extremely well?

it hasnt fallen out of place once on me....the fit is really good and since the monitor is so light the catches do a good job of holding it in place.

I usually leave it in the car just with the decoy over it....i've also got an alarm....and you cant tell i have anything nice in the car so theres no reason for me to really worry about it.
