Nice install. I have mine exactly the same way except I eliminated the radio. No need when you have thousands of mp3's!

well...its also a really good amp for the mid-range and high speaker's, without it, you gotta buy a mini amp for $200 and its gonna take up more space, its also nice because he now has a slim-slot dvd burner so if his friends have a cd at there house he wants to upload, or even burn. It's very simple.
But yeah, I only say that now because thats what he told me, I said the same thing to him a couple days ago cause I think it looks like crap, I hate all after-market head-units, I think they look cheap.. but its also good for radio too, sometimes you want to hear the traffic reports and all that crap...

well, you dont need to spend $200 on a component speaker amp, but having the backup headunit is nice for whenever your working on the carputer and its out of commision. Its offers a quick easy to use nob to turn down the music if you need it do go down.

today i installed a the carnetix 5v POL (CNX-P5V) regulator under my center console, and installed a usb hub in the center console. The module was suprisingly very tiny....i found the smallest enclosure i could find at radioshack (2" by 3")...and put a heatsink on it. The unit with the heatsink barley fit....but it did fit.
This step is vital for allowing expandability for your setup. Originally I was going to use my ITPS and my snap-on PSU for this task. The problem with this was the ITPS is about 6" long and about an inch wide, and the snapon psu is about 3"x3". Also the combination generates a lot of heat, so its difficult to find a place for this. Now I can finally use my steering wheel remote, my slotload dvd drive, my bluetooth controller, my GPS, my wifi adapter and my touchscreen all at once. I guess if I want to use a keyboard, or a usb hdd....I will need a 7 port hub.....possible future upgrade.
Things that are left. In priority list
1. Install the steeringwheel remote (awaiting bracket..will be here monday...and time to install this...who knows when).
2. install the slot load....figuring out where to put it is the biggest issue. Then I need to find the time to do it.
as far as PC hardware, i believe thats it.
for the car....there are a few more steps (redoing the trunk.....making the wire runs cleaner....etc.

the POL seemed to be the last bit my alternator could take. I started noticing severe power issues. Random lights would go on in the dash (including SRS, which is triggered by low voltage, and my battery light, as well as my brake lamp indicator, and emergency brake light[this one is a mistery to me]). My opus voltage protection would kickin too....causing speratic soft power offs....and then it could come back....and cycle.
So anyway, soon after this my alternator started to whine (not loud, but enough for me to realize what the problem was). Using a multimeter i determined it was the alternator. I found a 200 amp alterantor on the internet to replace the stock delphi 105 amp on. I replaced the alternator, and upgraded to a DEKA INTIMIDATOR battery(this is a deep cycle battery with identical specs to the yellowtop optima....i purchased this for about $99 with a 5 year warrenty). I'm also installing a cap within the next couple weeks... to get the most out of my amp.

nice accord. i was wondering what headunit and components you have.
does the audio from your computer plug directly into the headunit [via usb(?) or aux] or do you route it to a amp?
