Just had a look..it only does virtual 5.1, and if you read its only got 2 rca inputs and usb that means its just splitting the sound unless your amps take digital. I would try and see what else is out there first...
I would have a look for you buts its almost 2am and i have to try and tap out a letter of intention in the next 10mins before i fall asleep
Yawn....

Thats all I need Flush, rca into my amp nothing special. I dont want to pay 300$ for a 4 channel rca output. Ill prolly go with a 2 channel amp tnow, and am also thinking about installing the sound myself now.

**UPDATE**
Just audio this update. I ended up buying the Sound blaster live! 24 bit external for the sound output. It is 5.1 surround and also has digital coax and TOSlink out. Going digital is to expensive so I used 4 channel 3.5mm surround.
I went to Jb hifi and got a cheap jvc 550w 4ch amp and rear 6x9 300w kenwoods. I decided to keep the front 6 inch speakers because I was told that they are pretty good for stock speakers and I really didn’t want to rip my doors apart and feed wires via holes my screwdriver doesn’t even fit in. The amp speakers and wire kit was 290$ total. I installed this myself in a couple of hours. I had to make another firewall hole cus I didn’t make the old one big enough for more wires. I cut off the old stock head unit plug figured out which ones were the fronts(including the stock tweeters) and connected some speaker wire up. ground went to my spare tire bay, anglegrinded a clean connection and screwed the connector in to the body. Laid the 4 front speaker wires, 8 gauge power cable, accessories wire and a usb 2.0 w/repeater under the carpet to the boot.
On the external USB sound there is a stereo plug for front speakers, one for back and one for subs. For now I will just use the fronts and rear (4 channel). I got some 3.5mm to rca jacks and connected it up. Installed all the 5.1 driver software and boom. Some very acceptable sound coming form those speakers.
amp, speakers with cable
firwall drilled
cables under the carpet (under back seat shot)
ground
4 channel (2x stereo) rca out form soundcard
4 channel rca amp input
messy

A word of advice:
That hole you did in the firewall doesn't look right. The cable could get cut after a while from rubbing & when +ve touches the chassis -ve ... BOOOM. You better widen that hole a bit and get a rubber gormet. that will cost nothing. Prvention is better than cure.
great install overall. never thought the area behind the dash can take the hole computer case!

I dont see how it could rub away. Its loose on both sides. I sealed the holes with silicon after anyway it doesnt move at all.

Ive bought a new screen for my carputer LCD upgrade for the vrx. Its a 15.4" widescreen, it will be turned 90deg vertically (tallscreen) and run with a portrait res front end skin. Screen was bought from http://www.motorcitytech.com/ and came in a complete package, LCD, touch panel(installed), controller, back light inverter etc all ready to go. Price was 430USD which was around 530AUD. Customer support was excellent, they had no hesitation to ship it here to Australia and it arrived in good time and works perfectly... hardware and software.
Ontop of the lcd upgrade I will be remaking the computer case. I will be making a custom aluminum casing that can take all the old computer components as well as the new PCBs that have come with this custom lcd panel(4 pcbs).
Some major dash renovating is going to be needed to fit this bad boy in. Screen is to take the room of the center trip computer, air con vents, climate control unit, cig lighter, ash tray, cup holders and my previous 7" screen. Trip computer, cig lighter and ash tray will be removed and is not needed. Air con vents will be removed but the ducting redirected for additional cooling into the computer case. Climate control must stay so im going to relocate it just below the screen. cup holders will be missed . The plan is to make a single piece bezel to replace the 3 stock pieces, incorporating the screen, climate controls new position and a slot load dvdrw drive. The bezel will be made from fiberglass yes, I have a good project plan for it, but im still stuck on a few areas, like mounting. Everything is going to be removable with OEM looks just like my old one.

Carputer pulled out of the car for the upgrade. Setup on the bench, testing the new components and some software tuning with screen orientation etc.

The screen placement in the car, getting ideas on bezel fabrication. Climate control unit below the screen and if space allows a slot load dvdrw drive as well.
Also i almost forgot, Im planning to do a LED lcd brightness upgrade with a custom alloy box behind the screen. Very similar to Trubocads one but air cooled (air con too).

These are the LED units, new ultra bright, ultra low voltage and heat LEDs. 2 per board 14 units in an array of 7x2 = 28 LEDs. Kit comes with a 12v dimming psu that can take them all. Total led kit cost of $230AU delivered. Custom alloy casing will be around 50mm deep and have 2 case fans for cooling.
Im going to start configering the software end over next few weeks, maybe creating a new portrait skin in the process, still have more research on this one. I will prolly start bezel fabrication next weekend and get this show on the road.

Wow. That's a big bloody screen!
What was the reaosn behind the change?
I'mm interested to see how you go with the fabbing of the new bezel with the straight egdes of the screen and the curvature of the dash centre console to work with.
Keep us posted!

Im going to keep it as flush as possible keeping to the contour of the vinyl dash, but there will be curves and dips involved, ill try and keep it as flush as possible though to keep the OEM look. It will take allot of hand sanding to get it right, and it will dip to the center of the screen.
Reason behind the change is having a daylight readable screen. Having a console sized screen leaves endless skinning possibilities including split screen, multitasking etc. And how many people can say they have a 15.4" wide screen fabed into there dash? I also was getting sick of the small 7"er and just wanted to go bigger, and higher.

Did you ever fix the power wire through the fire wall?
You will have an issue if you don't. I had a Mitsu Galant (7G) and did this, after a couple months of bumpy roads, etc, the sheathing on the power wire wore through and once it touched the metal of the car, sparks flew, everything powered down, fuses went, etc. It took a lot of time and patience to get it all back up and running.
Imagine the hole you cut as a round knife, the metal edges are sharp, and it may not happen right away, but it will end up happening. Better to be safe than sorry.
Also, I really like what you are doing here, keep up the good work!
Can't wait to see what the new project will look like! I have a huge soft spot for Mitsus from that era, the Galant VR4 is one of my faves.

I drilled the hole oversized on purpose and filled around the wire with silicon holding it centered and not wearing on anything. its been like 15 months now, 30,000km and not a problem. The VR4 is a good car, but rare to see, specially unmodified. I see allot at local rally events.

ok, the silicon will work. Basically you just need to keep the sheathing away from the naked metal edge.
