The plastic is probably covering the screen a little. The 7" screen literally sits on the AC controls and goes all the way to the inside top of the bezel, so any more than about 8mm of plastic (looking at it from the outside) will cover the viewable screen area. I just recently reworked mine to cut it back some more and beveled it so the top pixels can be seen from a higher angle. I made the mistake of throwing out the lilliput case as soon as I got it. It might have been much easier if I had used the frame from it.

If you look at this pic:
It appears that the entire "My Computer" icon is chopped off. That's a lot.

Oh! That's a bit much. I bet he used the auto adjust. Mine does something like that too, but if I manually adjust it once, it never forgets luckily.

Alright guys, sorry for the withdraw from the board. I was getting carried away with the carpc thing and neglecting other things that shouldnt be. Also, I started to hurry and rush things and ended up breaking my touch screen. Thats when i decided a hiatus would be good. To answer your question, thats a 8 inch Eonon Touch screen, also known as SUPER brand. Its an ok touch screen, but the drivers suck. Also, the plug for the power and screen are on the bottom of the assembly and they make it really hard because but up against the a/c controls. Im getting back into it now (in moderation) Im looking for another screen and a power supply. Ive got most everything else worked out for the intitial install.

Hmmm, 3 months later and Im still minus a screen... Anyone else try to do this while planning a wedding? I dont suggest it. Anywho, now Im waiting on a old car to sell so i can buy a 7'' lilli. Also, i have aquired a linksys wireless g dongle, have a 512mb stick of ram on the way, and switched to DigitaFX 2.0 skin on RR. I Love this skin! I've also got my usb dvd rom powered off the 5 volt rail, so no need for that wall wart. I do get an occasional blue screen with BAD_POOL_HEADER failure listed, but only once in a blue moon while switching out usb devices. I would worry about it more, but once everything is set, I dont plan on fiddling with the usb too much. Im using windows wireless manager since linksys's stuff screws with the registry and wont allow quick logons. I figure ill just create a few profiles for good hotspots that I know i can connect to while out and about. The main use for internet will be for weather updates, and hopefully, eventually, traffic updates as well. Well, thats enough jabberjawing for now. I would post pictures but theres nothing really new to show yet.

Alright. I have the worst luck ever. I finally scrape together the change to buy a lilli eby701 from ebay. i get in record time. Haul out my car pc setup, and hook it up. It works right out of the box with just a autoadjust. I go to install the ts drivers, so i have to connect my usb dvd drive. As i plug it in, i hear everything click in the computer, and it begins to boot. i thought i bumped the power strip i was using so i walk away to let it boot When i come back, it wont boot, and it stalls out at UMB address segment E601 and thats it. wont start, cant get into the bios settings, tried messing with ram, swapping it out, checking the hard drive pci cards, and risers, cmos battery, you name it. Now im just ****ed.

Welcome to my world.
As the frustration level got higher and higher, I decided to replace it with an Alpine DVD unit. I may go back to a PC later on once the hardware gets better.

What ****es me off the most is i had the hardware side pretty much done. i maxed out the ram, 1ghz processor, usb 2.0 pci card. Now i need to start over, or find a motherboard (which i think is the issue) that takes the same stuff i have...

I had the hardware side done as well. I went through 2 PC's. First one was a old 1GHz AMD I had, then I swapped to all new parts using a 3000+ AMD setup. It's not so much the actual PC parts that are the problem, it's the unique stuff. I went thru 3 of the M2-ATX PSU with the first PC. They are just too finicky. Then I swapped to the Opus 150 and it worked fine. Worked fine with the 3000+ as well (it actually uses less power). Then I couldn't find a good 8" LCD that would look good at the 45* viewing angle my dash created. Transflective? Forget about it. No one had any and the smaller units cost way too much. Then you have the whole software side of things which are not integrated well at all.
I think as time goes by we'll get better PSU's and LCD screens and the frontends will be better integrated with other software and hardware components so you don't have to be a freakin programmer to get it all working together without issues. I think once things get closer to plug and play and can prove to be realiable, then I'll come back. That's all I'm saying. I just don't have the time to constantly tinker with it. My blood pressure was getting too high messing with it.

Well, according to fedex tracking, my motherboard should be here tomorrow. At that point i hope to have everything working again quickly, and post some pictures of everything together now that i have a functional screen and bezel. Also, im thinking about extending the wires from the button/irr from the lilliput. more decisions to come tomorrow.

Alright some more updates. So i got the latest drivers for my powermate. I have to say, the increased functionality is nice, but its still unreliable as hell on startup. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Im also struggling with my linksys wireless g adapter because of a file called GTgina.dll that linksys throws into your registry while loading drivers for it. It makes you log on and off like the old style windows 2000, including a sign on screen that kills your boot time. Im working on that though, i tried to get the drivers from the maker of the chipset (ralink) but there is some sort of confusion on their site with their drivers. Im waiting on a response to a email to tech support.
Here are some pictures of the setup in the car. It was just an improvised setup to see how it felt. So far so good!!!
No complaints about functionality so far. John's digitalfx 2.0 is a great skin. I was a little worried about my viewing angle, but everything is damn near perfect when you look at the screen from my seating position.
So whats left? lets see, PSU (probably m3 atx) Sirius sc-c1 and usb controller for it, possibly a radio receiver, but i can still utilize the one on my headunit if necessary, and a pie-10 (i think its called) converter so i can use my cd changer line as an input instead of a crappy fm modulator.

Now there's a spot for it! I was thinking about putting my slotload vertically on the right side of the screen with the thin part down. The HVAC mount would need to be cut though. Or stuff it in the glovebox. Any place is kind of a pain for such a small thing.
