need help with powering screen and hub.

I have old auto laptop power supply 18V dc 2.5Amp out that I want to convert in 12V dc and 5V DC. how should I wire that and will that conversion only need a simple resistor to drop the voltage since the 18V out is already regulated ?

Looks cool man, were you bidding on a bezel on eBay a week or two ago? What size screen is that? It looks pretty cool so far, did you angle it at all?

no I did not bid on it but would love an extra bezel. how much do they go for ? do you know any other source for new/used bezel ?

screen is 7". it's flushed against what used to be the factory radio bezel. the HU bezel (little one at the bottom) is angled to match the curve.

I was bidding on one a week ago and i was beat by $1 lol. I think the guy bought it fr $81.45 + shipping. I was scanning ebay for a week and i picked one up for $39 to my door. I used to have a double-din screen, and it was pretty hard to see when it was flush with the dash. I always had it tilted up a little

I have a junkyard here that sell the parts pulled out and cleaned.

he offered the bezel for $30 but I am asking it for $20. will see.

regarding the tilt I will see how it works out otherwise I will make a new one and sell this one.

made a little progress.

sanded with 400grit paper and applied first coat of primer.

There is a slim CD tray & space for 2 usb ports under the head unit.
