Thanks! and no, I'm not using textured paint. I still need to do a bit of high grit sanding before the bezel is totally completed. I wanted to make sure the lcd still fit after all the fab work, so I put it into place. It looked good enough to me, but I might get annoyed after I finish the install and do another layer of bondo. The project has been delayed since I still dont have a working lcd....would have been finished by now...

I'm still working on the lcd controller board, but I am in the middle of a transaction for the BU-353 GPS reciever. I also bought a griffin powemate, so I can change volume/change songs without having to look over at the lcd if I'm driving (and for ease of use). I still don't know where I can mount it (if anyone has any ideas, please contribute). I don't want to do any more fab work, since I am quite bad at it.

On the other hand, I wrote up an expenses sheet to keep track of how much money I'm spending:

Current CarPC Expenses

I also made a few skins for simplistique to better suit my needs. I will post the .skin files and the rest of the jpg's if anyone is interrested.

Here is a menu I made for skins relating to gas. I didn't want to take up 2 menu spots for them:

Here is my modified menu2 skin. I didn't want shopping, traffic, etc.. so I replaced them with useful links:

This skin tells me relevant information about the computer. I am still adding stuff to it, so it's not yet completed:
