Its really easy to take out, First fold down the seatback, remove the two bolts from the hinge to the seatback. Take the seatback out.

Remove the one or two bolts towards the rear of the car (leave the seatbelts alone)

Pull out the T shaped clips on the bottom of the seat (towards the front of the car) and you should be set.

scott make a very good point. Spend time with your new born instead of staying in the garage sanding off bondo.

mwmcginn great job you did mate. Simple and effective. Now aday, I don't see the point of having the screen fab into the dask kit. If you do it right, it look just as good as anyother "built in" fab which you did a very good job.
When I did my Matrix, I was hurry to finish before my little boy is born cuz I want to spend time with him.
Now when I redo my Supra, I have to go the easy route cuz I have no time. I was able to do the Supra job only when my little boy sleep, or not at home. Imagine you son imitated almost every step you did as he almost used a screw driver and screwing into the car No, he did want to play with his toy, instead he uses my toys.

My next project is the 2K Accord so I can alternate with the Matrix for long trip. I'll go exact same route you did. Work on the lcd bezel and attach to the factory piece. No sanding, nothing to be done with the factory bezel exept the back side which will be couple drops of epxy and/or supporting brackets.
Enjoy the baby man, once she grow up, you won't be able to hold her with just 1 arm. My boy (18months) already don't want me to hold him, he wants to run.

Welcome to the day of no more 2 seaters, sport car, autocross, crazy sound. Say hello to a smooth, quiet driving sedan .

Yeah, I took it out next to the factory harness next to the drivers foot area. There is a tight loom of wires going through a wide rubber grommet thing. I punched a small hole next to that in the grommet, and pushed the wire right through. It worked very well. Some others use one that is behind the center stack, and they say it is better. This worked for me though.
