Good going,
Planning a similar setup for my F6 Tornado.
Will send you a link, Caruter complete, have Xenarc screen, but also converting the stock Prestige Sound over to Premium, and changing the manual MCC (like yours) to the DualZone Climate Control unit, with Color LCD.
Keep it going, cannot wait for the end result.
Br,
MrBean

I'm regretting not getting climate control.
is it expensive to change it all over?
I eventually plan on moving the screen to where the stock ICC is and moving the ICC to where me screen is.
a mates already done it and it looks really good. but I wait till i get everything running first.
I'm making the sub box the same size as the PC and then in the center of the 2 boxes i will make another box for the amp.
and then with all the covers ontop of the boxes, the back shelf will be flat like it is now, only 130mm higher.
where have u got your Xenarc?

Heya,
Got my Xenarc off ebay, around $370- odd to my place in Doncaster East, Vic.
700 TSV model, which is quite good.
Just a little work involved, and some knowledge, and money of course.
I have all w/s manuals, etc, so no problem, just some additional temp sensors, one solenoid for the airbox, and some wiring to be done. External temp sensor part of passenger side mirror though, so you need to get that, and loom.
BEM needs to be re-programmed, as well as your current HIM, to allow proper control of dualzones.
I will mount my ICC LCD down where your TFT is mounted now, and Xenarc where LCD originally was located - same as your plan
We should hook up, if you need advice give me a shout - maybe I can help.
edit: Before I forget, I have a brandnew ICC plastic bezel lying here, if you want to mod yours - same color, picked it up from ASL, $110-, you can have it for $80 if you need it. Otherwise no prob - soz for off-topic!
Best regards,
MrBean.

Interested Onlooker
G'day DJMickyG (and others),
Having been hooked on MP3Car forums for over 6 months now, I'm hoping to bite the bullet and challenge myself to a 2007 carpc project.
I've recently bought a Ford Territory, and also live in Melbourne (Australia). As such, given the dashboard similarities of our cars, I keenly followed your other thread, and have now subscribed to this one.
As far as the screens go, my initial desire would be to relocate the Stock ICC down and fab a new Touchscreen into it's place. Therefore, I'd be pumped to see any photos from your mates car.
Also keen to hear where your putting the PC etc ? Is that behind the front seats ?
Keep the photos coming if you can.
Well done, good luck, and I will follow with interest.
Cheers,
Long.1

Hey Long.1,
Which ICC you have? Probably prestige sound with color LCD? Do you have the little slits next to your LCD, on the right-hand side?
I find it may be significantly easier to mod the mono-LCD setup, especially wrt space for fitting a 7" screen.
With a DualZone ICC, I would say max tft touchscreen that will fit would be 6"
Keep us posted, I need to start a Project Log too.
Will do so tonight, and then we can share ideas.
edit: Here is a link to my Project Log if you want to see what I am up too
Regards,
Beanie.

G'day Beanie,
Thanks for the welcome. Being careful not to sabotage DJMickyG's thread, I'll keep this brief. I've definitely checked out your worklog as well, and will make some further comments under there.
As far as car goes, yes it's a Ghia so it has:
- The Premium ICC (with dual climate control, large colour screen and trip computer), and
- Premium audio system (with colour screen & 6-disc in-dash CD, 150 watt amplifier & sub-woofer).
Even so, given the dash similarities, it would be pretty foolish to ignore your threads. Still, life will be pretty interesting if and when I'm able to start the venture. Only time will tell.
Cheers,
Long.1
PS. If you're interested, here's my car.
