Great. I think Illustrator can export to DWG or DXF. I'll work on that and shoot it off to you. Thanks again man!

Tiny work
I accomplished something i considered to be very difficult last night. Me and my fat fingers and my 100W soldering gun were able to create a power switch jack for my P1900 in the back of my intel mini. This was a major obstacle in creating a "dockable" mini, so I'm glad it worked, i'm glad i got some sleep last night, and i'm glad to move on. here is how it went down:
I drilled a .250" hole at the top of the security slot. There is some metal behind this that all has to be trimmed away on both the top cover and the case. For the jack i used, I needed to drill as high in the slot as possible to gain clearance to a circuit board directly beneath it.
I then soldered some extensions to the y-adapter from the Carnetix MacPac kit and routed them just in front of the wifi antenna's mounting post.
Then i soldered the leads perpendicular to the terminals on a 2.5mm mono jack. I did the soldering outside the case, and then wiggled the jack into the hole i drilled earlier. Mounting the jack high and upside down gives just enough clearance for the ribbon cable behind it to snake past and connect to the daughtercard for the drives. Before I closed up, i made sure my solder joint was smooth and then laid down three layers of electrical tape over it just to be sure.
The end result was much more polished and clean looking than I had expected.
and above all, it works! I had to futz with the P1900 a little bit, apparently when it gets out of sync it never quite catches back up without a little help.
my test rig
So that's it for now. I have parts on order from crutchfield that should be here today or tomorrow. I think when i get another bill paid off i'll go ahead and order the basic stamp development kit and the iPAC, and some 4-way switches and start building my controls. This is happening!

i forgot to post pictures of the head unit installed! I spent about 3 days making harnesses before even attempting it... i gotta say it was time well spent. Right now I'm running off the factory amp... doesn't sound that bad at all, plus all the factory speakers work - sub, tweets etc...
i also got a factory service manual for my car... probably over 2000 pages in all, so i'm about to get knee deep into this thing =)
so anyway... all i've got so far is a custom splash screen for the AVN unit. enjoy.
btw - thanks for the comments SK. I love the toyotas too (see sig)

Nice install. You should show it off on fgcoupe.com I love the little detail with the apple logo on the button.

they make a Si sedan???, OK sure.
I have the 2door SI #220 actuly , i love it and now that its warmer im going to get back at it and get my carputer installed., can you please post the part# of the switch...please..., also i have the pinouts for the amp if you want...
and wouldnt the turbo void all waranties you have?, my dealer seggests that i dont lower the car let alone turbo it, it they made a supercharger kit for the Si i would get it regardless, i got the headers DC 4-2-1, exhaust and cold air intake before my first oil change and i HIGHLY recomend it, just as long as you dont mind the check engine light always being on

I'll address all those questions:
First, part number for the VSA OFF switch is 35300-SNA-003 $6.72 at hondapartsdeals.com
the mac was/will be connected to the eclipse HU by using an DVI->NTSC converter (available from apple) and the auxiliary inputs on the head unit. I know this isn't optimal picture quality, but it is outstanding for Front Row which is all i use it for.
as far as your check engine light - check this thread out
i think it's been a fairly common problem.
As far as turbocharging goes - i'm feeling somewhat adventurous. Greddy has worked out alot of the kinks in their kit for the 06+ Si, and I think it's ready to have a go on my car. I have some very engine savvy friends and a Helm manual and the ETM supplement that I think will get me through any sticky spots.
The nice thing about a turbo is that if something goes haywire, i can still switch the A/F management map to N/A and limp it home.

thanks for the link, i dispatched my brother to go to parts source to get the plug defouler and i might be installing it at work ...
I would prefer a supercharger though, but i see your point about being able to limp homre, except for it the turbo blows, your going to have to get your intercooler cleaned out or replace it and if the compressor side goes you could be flinging a lot of crap through your beutifull k20. speaking of which is the sedan a k20z3? like the 2 door?
than a i just spent i litle over a grand on my headers and exhaust, so i dont want to be replacing it all over again.

yes the 07 si sedan is the k20 just like the 2door. the suspension has been reworked so it handles like the coupe, so basically there the same car. the 07 models have a traction control we didnt get on the 06 model. Anyhow.when i did my pc in my si over a year ago now, i had to bypass the factory amp. it took honda such a lng time to find the schematic that i drew the damn thing so id never lose it.
there are the 2 plugs that go into the amp.

portabuddy - i haven't purchased anything yet... so if you've got a suggestion for an S/C setup, i'm perfectly open to giving it a look. My friend is a honda guru and has a wealth of experience with turbocharged cars, so i've been relying on him for his knowledge in deciding which way to go.
my setup actually uses the factory amp instead of bypassing it. I'll see if i have a picture of the harness I made for it, otherwise i have to get back there one more time to hook the mac in... i'll take pictures then.
