what kind of shop is it? and whereabouts is it located? I'm making my dash bezel, and having appropriate tools will make it go so much quicker.
Also, I'd love to help get your Si back in a better condition than pre-theft, whether it's by motivation, or physical labor. S*** happens, you just gotta start fresh, they didn't jack the mac, so all you need is a new screen/HU and some fab work. You're still bounds ahead of my install...
My old car was broken into twice in the same apt complex here, then a month later, my brother's car (same complex) was broken into, and then a few months later right before the lease was up, my roommates car had a couple of coronas thrown through the back window. Apparently the Lakewood police department doesn't care about actual crimes though, since not a single black and white showed up on any of those occasions. They were there in five minutes though when our neighbors called in a noise complaint on us for a party we had (BTW they came before 10pm - quiet time)
- lesson learned, if anything gets broken into or something happens to your car, just call in a noise complaint on yourself, and they'll be there in a flash.
there's always a way to make it harder for people to steal your stuff and/or even know its there
