I've installed WinXP MCE 2005 on my carPC!

my carPC:

VIA M10000/40G/512M/LILIPUT7"

before activing, it is very very slow on my carpc

after activing and regist, faster, but not as fast as win2kpro

FM and TV are still not work now because of drivers

it seems that MS should use SPECIAL driver for media center although my driver for xp works fine!

I have a MII 1.2g and its slow on mine, one thing I did to speed it up was to disable ALOT or services from starting on my machine. Second thing I went into the settings for MCE and I disabled certain visual aspects such as button animation. I have not tried this yet but some of the load could be taken off of the cpu if you use a seperate video card with a GPU. Im not sure if all the load is from the graphics or from background processing.

before the changes I would idle at about 90% CPU usage and now it idles at about 60% usage.

I am already a frodoplayer 1.09 thakes3 user and plugin maker
can not find fontend for carpc use better than FP1.09
