Use Windows Mobile phone as carputer
I have had a HTC Touch Pro for a few months now and have been researching whether it is possible to use it as a carputer (for gps, hands free calling, and internet radio among other things) controlled by a external touchscreen. Here is a thread I started on another forum a few months ago discussing this possibility.
Ultimately what I want to do is have the touchscreen mounted on top of my dash and make some sort of docking station for my phone (with audio/video output and usb input to touchscreen) under my head unit and probably replace the head unit with a equalizer to send the phone's audio to amps.
The tricky part will be figuring out how to get a windows mobile phone to recognize a touchscreen as a usb input but from the reading I have done it looks like it may be possible. Unfortunately I don't have the programming skills (or time) to figure this out. Hopefully someone on this forum will have some info on how (or if) this can be done.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, if not please move it.
