    Slow logon (windows XP SP2)

I'm experiencing a very slow logon when I change the Windows Shell.

I have found that it is the "wlnotify.dll" that slows it down.

Does anyone know what could be causing wlnotify.dll to take up to 50 sec.

As said it is only a problem when I have changed the Windows shell to "Frodoplayer.exe" when it's "explorer.exe" "wlnotify.dll" takes max. 3 sec.

I'm aware that wlnotify is a critical component and cannot be disabled, but earlier it was not a problem for me.

No clue, but it's something I've been seeing recently wih other threads.
I don't believe it was done intentionally.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

AFAIK it's related with logon. Did you tried with a different logon account, if not just create a new account and try..
