here is my .ini
Code:[boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS /bootlogo /noguiboot [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect
you need to add the switches to the end of the line which starts multi(0)disk....

cheers mate - just found it in a regedit tips post
Easier way to edit boot.ini :
1. Hit 'Window key' + 'R' to open up the "Run" dialog box
2. Type "msconfig" and hit 'Enter' key
3. 4th tab at top of application is boot.ini options
4. Go Nuts!
ps: in case you don't know, 'window key' is the key between 'ctrl' and 'alt' keys with the little windows logo on it
