Thread: Super small XP install

just finished installation and setup.. tinyxp + minlogon, the carpc now boots in approx 18-20 secs im pretty impressed!!

my current installation uses 35MB \windows clean install w/o drivers.

if your want to get your hands on that, you'll have to wait approx 1 month and microwinX.

not stealin the thread, its on topic, (i think lol)

hmm ive just done a Nlite install and installed the "dotnetfx.exe" .net 2.0 install and when i try to install centrafuse it says i need to install .net to use it

pardon me but first of all this is not CF thread. secondly, isnt CF .NET 1.1 application? If so, it WILL NOT RUN with .NET 2.0

How can I add some programs to Nlite?

look at nLite forums for so called "add-ons". There is pretty exhaustive list of different applications that can be directly integrated into an OS image with nLite.

Of course, you still can install them as you are used to after your OS is installed, nLiting does not (mostly) affect functionality of OS.

I'm not getting a display on any of my monitors at home, either my 8" Lilli or my 19" desktop flat panel after installing Nlite. I took it to Geeksquad and used their monitor after my last Nlite install and theirs works well enough to be able to finish the installation and install the XIK mainboard VGA driver. I've tried integrating the VGA driver but Nlite won't take it. My Nlited version displays ok all through the installation up to the re-boot to setup. After the reboot no display (black flickering screen). I have the same problem when I install the out-of-box version of XP. Any ideas how to integrate this mainboard VGA driver?
