Well Knubile is from Ottawa and he bought from psism.com and recommended the adapters over what can be bought elsewhere, so I figured I would save myself time and hassle and just get what is known to work well.

I also bought an Extreme III card that is on its way still. I can only imagine in what fashion I will be violated when it arrives.

31 in shipping??!?! My shipping cost was $16. Still rediculous, but I've learned to live with crazy American charging way to much to ship to us nice Canadians.

I asked the people at mini-box.com about their CF adapter that has HD mount holes. They said theirs has not protruding contacts on the bottom. I had to put a couple of risers to clear the contacts on the one I bought. I haven't tried the mini-box one myself, but I may get one to try it out.
I've mounted mine where the hard drive is supposed to go in the Travla C134 case. I had to drill a couple of extra holes to move it over a little, to clear the ethernet connector. This would be uneccessary if it could mount flush to the metal.

Have you guys been installing WMI or not? I'm just testing out the latest nLite and I installed WMI as always, but then I went ahead and removed all COM objects, TypeLibs, Services, and other components referencing the System32\WBEM directory from the Registry; rebooted and then deleted the directory. Seems to be running fine and it cut another 12MB's from the OS.

i just have one question wich i don´t seem to get answered...but how the hell do you guys get so small Xp installs?? i tried nLite and chose "Lite" and removed some more options besides the standard values but still i end up with nearly 1gig done install and don´t seem to be able to install D3?!? what am i doing wrong?? the system is Xp Pro without SP2! anybody with a nice clean install that might want to send me a working nLited win ISO?? i really need this running by the end of this weekend?

disable swap file +hibernation file (if u dont need it..) then delete other things u dont need.....

disable swap???? is it really that good?

but anyhow, it seems i´m removing the wrong stuff cause i get error messages about activex controls in Xp wich results in me being unable to install destinator! =/ so if anybody could provide me with a ISO i´d be more than grateful!!!!

probably nothing because i have my own copy at home, i´ll be using my own cd key so i don´t see the problem

Is their a pre shrunk version of XP that one can download? Something that just an iso, dont need to run all these programs and delete stuff?

Anyone here made one that can be distributed? Or maybe "borrowed"

Ok, Don't flame me right away.... I haven't built a MP3 computer machine in about oh, 5 years... Hell, my first computer didn't even have a damn monitor

I have decided to get back into the game and I have been reading the forums but I am a bit lost... I just bought my MII1200 board, my 512MB memory, 200GB HD, and I'll be ordering my 8" TS soon... I'll be fab'ing the TS into the dash of my SRT-4 and will be using an audiocontrol MVC to control the volume....

NOOOOOOW, the question, Shrinking XP, I have been this thread and this setup.ini file I have been reading about using Nlite... What the hell do you do with this??? I have been playing around with nlite and don't really quite understand it yet.... Do you take this setup.ini file and throw it on a CD with a copy of XP and install it on a HARD DRIVE??? I don't get it?? and when you make a bootable ISO using the nlite software and save it in a folder, how come it doesn't look like whats on a CD??? Hmmm, can someone explain??? Please???
