    XPE on CF process

Hello , i started building an image XPE for usage on CF .

i fDISK the CF on target system , then set partition ACTIVE and formated it.
copied BOOTPREP do it an RUN it . No errors so far.

then i wend to the developpment PC and copied my XPE image over it.

The CF boots , but after 3 seconds it gives me the following error.

is there anyone that knows what the problem could be ?

Yes, its "cannot boot from hard drive" kind of error.
    So check following:
    a) what is four CF format FAT or NTFS? Did you bild support for it to your XPE image?
    b) if you some of coponets that handles HDD volumes is missing. "Volume manager" is typical. I hope this is correct component name.
    c) Did you include First boot agent and its parts into your build?

like mpattonm wrote: did you include FAT32 support in your image? are you using EWF? I'm guessing you are since you're installing on a CF card, so did you follow MSFT's steps to create a RAM Reg mode EWF volume? It's basically what my hack does. FBA isn't going to be able to create another partition on the volume for EWF RAM mode if the CF card is marked as removable, that's why you need to use RAM Reg mode.

Are "Mount manager" + "Partition manager" and their other corresponding components build into your image?

first thing i gonna test is the same IMAGE on a real HARDDISK , if that is not working to then there are missing components or something. if it thus work then my IDE to CF adapter maybe the problem.

but its to cold today to test it in the car

    Okay did some testing ,

I putted the IMAGE from the flash on a HARDDISK (850 meg)that in the past did work
result SAME error as on the CF , so my image must be BAD i guess.(missing components or something)
