Hy,
I am a new one in here!
I have read a lot about OS tweak, last weeks, and I tried to make embed XP with HORM function, everything was ok, until the finish line.
Problem:
When resuming from hibernating Windows says: The last attempt to restart the system from its previous location failed... And I have 2 possibilities to choose:
Delete restoration data...
Continue...

How can I disable this dialogue?If I choose Continue, everything goes ok!

I tried to search about something similar, but I didn't find anything!

And, yes, I have deleted bootstat.dat

please help!

Yes, I created Resmany.dat!
HORM is working, but everytime I want to resume, computer shows this dialogue! If i press continue, everything resumes ok!

Any ideas?

It's the last problem for my CarPc,even touchscreen is in place!

saw a post where resmany is replaced by horm.dat with newer xpe files

The same dialogue appears!
I don't really know do I have the latest EWF files!
I only downloaded XPe from microsoft and searched for minlogon.exe, ewf.sys,ewfmgr.exe and ewfntldr!
I found 3 versions for each file in some .CAB files, latest were modified in 2003, so now I am using them!
Maybe I haven't got the latest ones? If so please could someone PM me the latest ones?!
I will be wery gratefull!

Or maybe some other ideas?

EDIT: I forgot, minlogon.exe didn't supported Hibernating, so that I found in this forum!

EDIT2: Found this URL, but with these files computer is not resuming anymore(not even once)! So please somebody PM me 100% working EWF files!

I was looking for a way to optimise Windows for use on a compactflashcard and found this topic and lot's of stuff about Windows XP Embedded. I'm probably missing the point, but why install XPe to get to some of the needed files to use in XP Pro instead of just using XPe on the flash card?

I'd imagine because XPe doesn't have many of the features that XP Pro does that many people find they need or would prefer to have.

If I remember correctly (it's been a while) the XPe you download isn't a distribution it's OEM tools to create an embedded windows environment.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
